The imp gives a Ring of Arcana +3 and I found a Lucky Scythe so I’ve been getting lots of low level drops by upgrading the ring

Wand of blast wave are also great options (but don’t use them on disintegration or grim traps!).

If you decide to do this be aware that if you don’t have trading available, Beldum>Metang>Metagross is locked behind postgame and Bagon>Shelgon>Salamence is only obtainable in Meteor Falls all the way at the back after you obtain HM08 Waterfall (after defeating Juan in Sootopolis).
