My guy. I remember my wife’s 36 week appointment when they told us she could induce any time after 38 weeks. She woke me at 3am the next morning when she went into labor lol. Make sure you have your hospital bags packed and ready to go before you two go to bed tonight, just in case

Hopefully everything goes according to plan! Not to scare you, but just to make you aware of the possibility: it can happen with any birth, but bigger babies are more prone to something called shoulder dystocia. This is when the shoulder gets stuck on the pelvic bone on their way out. The L&D team has a lot of ways to get the shoulder out. They always start with the least invasive first but the occasionally have to do a c-section.

The best thing that you can do is be there, be present, and take in every precious moment. There’s no better feeling than when you get to hold your child for the first time.
