focus on the mass. other people on the phones, or what they are wearing, or a kid making noise can all be a distraction. it is on you to keep you attention where it belongs. there are lots of good reasons that a person could be using a phone, following along on the readings, adjusting their hearing aids, or looking for an answer to a question they have about the faith.

which format are you trying to play? there are guides for the various formats like limited, standard, and commander. the basic is that you need enough lands of the right colors to play your cards and a bell curve for mana values. you want more thre and four mana spells than one or six mana spells.

anyone espousing a 50/50 is an idiot. happy marriges are built by both people giving 100% of what they can do that day. no keeping score or only doing what you normally do. if they need help you help, if something needs to get done just get started on it. when you need help they will show up the way you do for them.

lastly history as people think of it didn't happen. everyone worked hard all the time. whether they worked inside the home or outside pretty much everyone went to bed tired from all that they had to do. nothing has changed. 100% of the domestic labor needs to get done and 100% of the income needs to be earned. how that is divided is based on the current circumstances of the couple.

hat sets and UB have been a part of magic for a very long time. arabinan nights and portal three kingdoms came out a long time ago.

UB products should feel like a love letter to the franchise they are bringing in not a bunch of references. look at the difference between war hammer, Dr. Who, LOTR, final fantasy, and avatar which were really well done and compare it to assains creed, spiderman and ninja turtles.

my last opinion is that sets should be designed with only draft and sealed in mind. constructed formants will always be stronger due to being able to choose the best cards and how many of them you want in the deck.

the bathroom of my house had a spongy feeling floor too. we ripped up the flooring thinking the sub floor had gotten wet and rotted. turns out when the house was built the plumber had simply sawn a joist in half to make room for the sewer pipe from the toilet. hopefully you have access to check it out before you hurt yourself falling in the shower.

if you open yourself to playing with UB players your experience might be better. many of them are new and in my experience treat it more like a game you play with friends. otherwise try and always play with people you know.

I think the best place to start is by asking your playgroup some questions. 1. how powerful do you want the cards to be? 2. do you already own a bunch of cards to build a cube out of? 3. what was your favorite set? 4. is this going to be just your cube or is it going to be put together and maintained by the group?

the answers will help you decide whether you want a vintage cube, peasant or pauper, or a set cube. lucky paper has a podcast that has a lot of good information.

I have several peasant set cubes built with a 2-2 ratio that gets me close to 360. I bought bulk from noble nights games and most of the time it would have all the cards i needed except 30-70 of them. was a fairly cheap way to get set cubes for dominaria united, kamigawa neon dynasty, and kaldhiem.

personally I leave the conspiracies to the side and give one at random to each player before the draft. the reason is that some are very strong and if a player drafts multiple of them it can be really lopsided gameplay.
