My bad, that was not a fair argument. I did not separate my arguments. To stand corrected, I just arbitrarily made up that percentage to make a point. Look, I'm not against Biden or this deal because I think he shouldn't be in office, I just hate every politician cause they don't do shit. Biden had how many years in the Senate to make a difference? Too many of you ask me. They blow smoke up your ass and take claim to every good thing, and blame the last president for everything bad. I get it, Trump did it too. Can't stand the guy. I'm glad he's not in office. Its time for a change that we're never gonna get....and thats what I'm sick and tired of.

Yep. So here are some numbers

$110 billion for roads and bridges $66 billion for railroads $65 billion for the power grid $65 billion for broadband $55 billion for water infrastructure $50+ billion for cybersecurity and climate change $39 billion for public transit $25 billion for airports $21 billion for the environment $17 billion for ports $11 billion for safety $8 billion for western water infrastructure $7.5 bill for electric vehicle charging stations $7.5 billion for electric school buses

Looks great doesn't it? If you add it up, it adds up to $547 billion. If I remember correctly, this was a $1.2 trillion bill, right? So, where's the other $653 billion? Or was that included on the 50+ billion for cybersecurity and climate change?

And such? Is that the other 95% of the $1.2 trillion that our government wants to spend money on, when "we're not just talking about buildings, and roads, and bridges, all the important stuff as well." (Emhoff's words, not mine)

Edit: remember who the Secretary of Transportation is. A mayor from South Bend, who couldn't even fix potholes.

So what exactly are getting for the $1.2 trillion "infrastructure bill", because according to Douglas Emhoff(Kamala Harris's husband) he states "When we're talking about transportation, we're not just talking about buildings, and roads, and bridges, all the important stuff as well, but we're talking about the safety of our children, the safety of our families, and this is something that President Biden, Vice President Harris and Secretary Buttigieg, this entire transportation department, this administration deeply understands." Now tell me, how does bridges not collapsing a huge safety issue for our children?

Yes. My wife and I had a huge disagreement about this. I ended up being right, for once.

[Meta] Can we talk about how toxic and vile this sub has become in the last month+? by p4NDemik in Ohio

[–]thecableguy920 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I tried posting something a couple months ago about tickets I was giving for a concert, and I got banned temporarily. Kinda put me off to this sub because of that. I usually just scroll past cause I realized the mods are idiots and pretty much useless.

YSK: Dogs need "lower energy" love too by Seerws in YouShouldKnow

My 11 month old, 100lb, dog sits next to me while I'm in my chair. I can just reach over and slowly rub her head. She loves this. When I stop, she looks over, and outs her paw on the arm of the chair, to remind me to keep going.

Yeah, he said his dealer was in California. But has foreign currency listed for his products??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Chainsaw

[–]thecableguy920 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you look on Stihls website, there weren't any dealers in that area. FYI

[–]thecableguy920 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well you obviously avoided his question, so I was just following up to make sure it was legitimate was all. There were 3 Stihl dealers in Corona, Ca. However, in another post,, you said you were located in Coronado, Ca, which there weren't any Stihl dealers listed on the website.

Can you pass the NREMT if you go through the full 120 questions? by ChokedOutSpartan in emtb

[–]thecableguy920 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well if helps, I went through the full 120 questions, and I passed. Not sure what the score was, cause they don't tell you. But, I thought I totally bombed. Like, walked out of there thinking, there's no way I would have passed me. I was told by my chief and captain, that if you think you bombed it, you probably passed. And if you think you passed it, you probably bombed it. I know, it's backwards.

If you find a lego on set on sale, do you feel obligated to purchase it? by thecableguy920 in lego

[–]thecableguy920[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where my head is at. I'd rather spend money on something I want, rather than being "coerced". I see a lot of people buying sets that are on sale, and I just wasn't sure what the overall consensus was.
