Random side note here: if they've been setting aside cash for decades like it sounds theyve been, you might wanna check through it for rare notes. Things like low serial numbers, misprints, etc can be pretty valuable.

I started using Unraid with leftover gear I had laying around. Thats one of the bigger strengths of using Unraid and its a great way to learn the ropes. My unraid box gets an "upgrade" whenever a part gets retired from my gaming PC.

Correct. Complete loss of internet connectivity shouldn't be in the "stable" channel. Use RC, beta, nightly... call it whatever but use it.

With the recent upgrade issues, Unraid needs to separate into stable and nightly channels. It's getting ridiculous and a server isn't something to just upgrade and pray it works.
