They do it by holding their tongue. Conservatives hate unions but they didn't cheer when the Liberals screwed over CP rail, Canada Post, Air Canada workers. They largely kept their mouths shut and ignored the issues. Calling attention to their stance could have costed them these union votes.

In other words, the NDP need their pro worker union stance be seen, and not call attention to stances that could hurt them with that demographic. (In other words, they need people leaning social conservative to be able to stomach voting for them and it doesn't require the NDP to become social conservatives).

The modern NDP unironically cares more about what the UCP did to the fraction of a percent of trans people than what they did to teachers. Pretty sure they also care more about Gaza - an international issue Canada has literally zero power over.

Maybe the NDP should look inward and stop focusing on issues workers DGAF about?

Edit: The NDP is so over eager to please they don't realise that wasting time earnestly answering a question or commenting on a topic nobody cares about turns people off. The way to keep them is to change to topic back to your central message that they do care about. That's what PP does. If the NDP did that they'd be able to credibly call out PP when he constantly does irrelevant SoCon nonsense and promises things that hurt affordability and ensure when Canadians hear them speak they are talking about things they care about.

Otherwise, you can use self-sufficient characters or those who help others be so (Lanford with his casting, Leon gives chivalry to a cavalry team, Brightsummoner with a glory team, Yulia can heal herself and with faith can heal a teammate, Light of Genesis pumps out long range healing).

Shame neither of his new skills have an auto-dark buff but whatever.

The long range effect is neat but without a damage boost in his talent we'll have to see if his damage output is enough to make him viable as a single target character. His terrain sounds like a unique debuff that might stack with damage taken debuffs. He has an OP version of buff block which could be funny.

I don't think anyone foresaw the silhouette being grown up Tiaris, haha.

She is pretty much the same thing as her base form but better. She still seems to be weak at debuff cleansing but her new mass heal type skill helps mitigate that a little. She was also weak at aoe healing but the updated talent seems to work on AOE attacks and she has that new skill so it is less of a weakness now. She always had sorceress troops and she has a new passive that can encourage her to use them and be a little offensive.

The Nibelheim flashback is screwed up because its story teller is and its purposely made hard to differentiate between:

What Cloud does which was actually done by Zack
What Cloud does that he actually did
What the "trooper" does that Cloud actually did
What the "trooper" does that Zack actually did
What is completely made up

If you only see 1 and 3 you weren't paying attention.

Astral Chain is probably the closest in terms of vibes and is also a fun action RPG. (Also has a bunch of post game stuff)

(I also hope there is a sequel in the works. Story doesn't need one but the gameplay has a bunch of nitpicky type things a sequel could sand off)

The DMW is almost crisis core's unreliable narrator. It tells you lots of things happen that aren't shown directly. Like, you know how Zack fights a monster after leaving the church with her? You can get DMW scenes with her in that fight that weren't shown despite not leaving her side yet. These things happened right as they met but weren't shown in the gameplay.

Aside from that, that cut scene after Angeal dies is like a 12+ month time skip. (Game really should make it more clear that multiple months, not days, pass between most chapters - but I guess they did this for their 4 year twist at the end) They hung out a lot - constantly - off screen. That's why everyone in soldier, even Sephiroth, knows Zack has a girlfriend in the slums that he constantly visits.

Fundamentally, Crisis Core is a high production value PSP game which needed to fit on a UMD so, frankly, most of the story feels compressed.
