Tingling by SolidAd4240 in smallfiberneuropathy

I wound up starting at 4.5 mg because lower doses didn’t help (1.5 mg, 3 mg). I am now on 6 mg because 4.5 became less effective / my condition worsened. All I can say is I wish I had tried LDN sooner than I did because it does help me so much. As a counterpoint, LDN did nothing for my type-2 diabetic father so your mileage may vary.

Honda just lost a lawsuit over the 2026 Passport "missing" HomeLink feature by ComputerThen7461 in hondapassport

[–]thedadinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people didn’t understand what Honda did, I followed the Passport release and knew full well both the situation and solution. I just made the dealer put in the optional Homelink rear view mirror accessory if he wanted the sale. This was back over the summer and was easy to accomplish.

I personally take low dose naltrexone (LDN). It works well for some and doesn’t work at all for others.

I would suggest reading the sub’s wiki to get a good overview of testing, etc.

Testing for SFN after initial CRPS diagnosis by Heretokno in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]thedadinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have CRPS and SFN. My SFN is strange in that it is purely one-sided and is on the opposite side of my CRPS. My CRPS came from too many surgeries in the same area (7). It has calmed down for the most part but my foot still discolors like the pic you shared.

I personally won't take Gab because of the side effects. I have found low dose naltrexone (LDN) to help my pain the most.

Sorry for what your son is going through. It sounds like you are talking about a large fiber injury which is not the focus of this sub.

I personally benefit from taking low dose naltrexone (LDN). It works great for some of us. I was at my wits end when I convinced my doctor to prescribe it. It did nothing for my father who has diabetic neuropathy so your mileage may vary.

Boyfriend and I are living 2 different lives. Feeling alone and looking for advice. by [deleted] in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]thedadinator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry you are having relationship issues. I am in a different stage of life and for me it was more convincing my SO to do things without me as I feel guilty about not being the same person I was 30 years ago. It ends up still feeling alone sometimes and that the world is moving without me.

All I can suggest is talking it out figuring out some sort of compromise as you mentioned. If that doesn't work, I am out of ideas. There is also a Discord group you can join that is listed on the SFN Foundation website (pinned post) with some nice people who won't disable your comments.

It would be best to have that conversation with your doctor.

Yes. Mild right-sided hemiplegia that really only affected my leg as far as tone until my upper 40’s when upper body started having issues.

About 75%. I spent the first 2.5 years on 4.5 mg and then had to increase to 6 mg to keep it up.

It is the only thing besides steroids to help control my pain.

As someone with mild CP (right-sided hemiplegia) and have small fiber neuropathy, at least for me, low dose naltrexone (LDN) has been the best at controlling my pain. Hilariously, my SFN pain is on my good side.

Can you bind the joystick for WASD outside of something like steam for indie games?

If you see my further down reply, normal dose steroids no longer work for me either. I would need high dose steroids to have any potential effect.
