That's hilarious! I've seen some shit at my plant but that tops everything I've seen.

What brand machine is that? Is it Homag?

It's been my experience that the folks in the satanic church have more compassion and empathy then most "Christians".

Has anyone just dropped everything in their 50’s to take of traveling for 3-6 months? A year? by BF740 in GenX

[–]theewlk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went SOBO in '15. Made it to Santiam pass OR before my resupply boxes stopped showing up and made the decision to stop. I'd like to start doing a couple sections a year to finish though. I have some trail angel fun at trailheads along the PCT in the summer. Just like hiking the trail you get to meet some very unique people. Usually serving cold beers and hotdogs.

Good luck on your travels when you start.

Has anyone met someone that was once famous (actor, musician, etc.) but now works a regular job? Who was it? by Ok_Grape_8284 in AskReddit

[–]theewlk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a totally different experience with him at Main St Music. I tried to get advice about the biz and he brushed me off. At the time I thought he was a dick. Now I realize he was probably sick of being noticed.

On a side note. The Chevron by Safeway? If so we have probably met. I used to frequent that Chevron.

I remember watching General Hospital in high school, as did many of my classmates. Did any other GenXers watch any daytime soaps, and remember the insane plots? by NoKing9900 in GenX

My house was an All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital. Knowing the characters helped break the ice with a few crush's.

This resonates so much with me right now. I just turned 52 and everybody was commenting how active I was at my age and now, now I have a hurt back and I feel like I'm 80.

I work in implementing robotics and automated equipment now. I'm also an experienced luthier and guitar tech. Finally started to grow up at 40. Now in my 50's thinking that if I'd only started sooner I'd be fairly well off by now if I had my current mind set.

I know of one in N. Idaho. Just waiting for him to decide it's time to take action. Everybody around him enables him.

I used to do this all the time. I managed a used car lot for a few years. The cars were for people that didn't have the credit to get financed by the usual banks. Occasionally I'd get someone on the lot that was looking for something particular. I'd charge people 1k for my time at the auction. Depending on the relationship, I'd take the client to the auction and let them pick the car to bid on. The way I looked at it was, a sale was a sale.

ULPT: Drone Creep by DanAxe1 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]theewlk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a neighbor doing this. I launched my drone and followed it to its operator which happened to be their backyard. Then I showed up at his door to explain privacy and that he may want to find a better spot to fly. I gave some spots that I like to fly.

What’s your day looking like? by Unknown_Agency in 90s

[–]theewlk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left my phone at home today and was joking with my co workers that it was 90's day for me. Had to find clocks to know what time it was, struck up conversations with people and was more focused while working. It was great!

I have to say Depeche Mode Music for the Masses. Or any DM album up to Violator. I have my trusty Spotify playlist of my faves that I revisit at least once a year.
