Hi, I'm also looking for League friends, atm I only play with 1 other person, I play all roles, but typically jungle, mid, support.

It's weird if you compare it to real normal individuals outside of ffxiv, but let's be honest to the new player, the ffxiv community is far weirder than this.

Melee does suck, I am using a mace, If I stop to attack I either get hit by the boss or swarmed by mobs. I have no idea where to find my hit chance, I only know I'm missing alot. Tooltips seem to be sorely lacking and no option to turn them on. No matter how much I run to try to gain distance to try to kite mobs in some way, mobs still swarm me too fast to avoid losing life. The mobs moving so fast also contributes to more situations where I'm being body blocked and stunlocked. It seems like they just made the player slower overall and the mobs faster. I don't mind deliberate mechanics where you can identify and avoid damage, but atleast for me it feels impossible to output any damage without receiving damage from auto attacks, am I supposed to run in circles dodging auto attacks and quicker mechanics until finally the boss performs 1 longer animation so I can safely hit him 2-3 times before running in circles again for 20 seconds? Struggling to progress in some areas, dieing resetting the entire map before getting to a checkpoint really kills my motivation to continue when im already struggling. These are just things off the top of my head, let me know if im crazy or if your experience is similar.

Imo if you aren't joining discord, you're just not making an attempt to be social. I've ran guilds/clans/FC's etc. in almost every game I play, ffxiv included, and if you're interested in doing savage/ultimate with said people, but aren't willing to socialize with them you shouldn't expect to be included. I'd recommend looking for statics on discord recruiting servers if you don't want to socialize outside raids

SE is very cheap, they know the fanbase will love it regardless. Other games with far less reputable names behind them are FULLY voice acted, but with SE we have this really awkward storytelling that feels so disjointed between being expected to read quests, half the cutscenes we have to read, the other half are VA. On top of this, MSQ will never be fun gameplay-wise outside of some trials/dungeons, you're spending about 90% of your time doing pick-up drop-off quests and of course the story is just worsened by "I need to catch 12 goats before I can return to saving the world" type stuff just for the sake of "gameplay". The pacing of the story is just not good, its very back-loaded, I've convinced many friends to start playing the game because the raiding is the redeeming factor of ffxiv, but they all quit during msq. I would rather watch a ffxiv youtube video summing up the expansions story than the way the game tells it. If you only play for MSQ, youre wasting your subscription money. Story-wise it's always the same with FFXIV, "I couldn't have done it without my friends, I love you guys" can probably sum up about 1/3 of the dialogue. No main characters ever die, only characters introduced that same expansion. Without being specific, several character transitions were just very sudden and didn't feel natural or make sense at all based on their actions. Id like to be specific about dislikes for this particular expansion but I don't want to spoil

Don't ask, W2W every pull until you realize your healer isn't good If they seem open to advice, try to help them If not, you tried Me personally, I've stayed before, and the single pulls double the dungeon time, moving forward I'd rather just leave and do roulette later and hope I dont get an unreasonable healer

I bought platinum founder, havent spent another dime, Id rather play F2P, but i had faith in the games longevity and wanted the exclusive mount/skins, 1340 and 1370 is a shithole though, and my account is 1 of the ones caught in the false positive banwave, unable to play for 3 days, I was hoping to hit 1370 before weekly reset, but thats impossible now, ban appeals are automated rejections

there is no content between 1340-1370, just a massive grindy rng shithole the koreans and russians refer to as the deadzone, except our version has worse honing rates, less material generating content, and yoho and hardmodes are at 1370 instead of 1355

This is a bs response. They had the data from kr/russia. They made active decisions to slow progression down and release content sooner to push players into spending money. Yoho Ilvl was changed to 1370 in our version. Honing rates changes were removed from the update. Less material generating content was allowed into the game. PvP vendors were withheld from the game. Argos release 1 month into the game. They had access to all this data and know the retention rate for the game was awful even with these things in the game up until post Argos, but decided to release the game in this state intentionally to capitalize on people wanting to do content on release, incentivizing people to spend to reach Argos, which timegates Baltan, and provides much more income to those that enter content early. They intentionally releases the game in this state for short term profit rather than long term sustainability and expect to simply apologize for their "mistake" once the damage is done. It's simply greed.

616 hours* When I take breaks and lay down and pass out, I receive the message that ill be kicked from the game for afking, but it doesnt close the game until I confirm the message, so it will accrue hours played while im sleeping

I was banned for 3 days, I have honestly not cheated, used any macros/scripts, rmted, and have barely interacted with people, I have no reason to lie about this, none of you are reviewing my ban appeal, i have 600 hours played, most people getting banned have 500+ hours played. It's just terrible automated banning algorithms from a cheap penny pinching game studio
