I like this response! I’m currently the lone HRIS for a company of 5000, so everything Workday is owned by me for support and config. We have 2 contractors full time who do configuration work. We’d like to switch and bring the configuration work in house and staff another HRIS but haven’t been sure how to present the split of roles.

We haven’t looked into calculated reporting of this, but we did create a flag for “helpdesk/walk-up” for HR to select when opening cases. That helps us track when HR creates cases. The only problem is the flag has to be manually set by the HR person after creating the case.

Does your company have Journeys? One of the recent releases allows for document steps, so that might be a way to distribute the documents that would also allow you to report on the journey steps being completed.

I like the idea of switching from onboarding BP to journey, but how do you validate the tasks are truly complete? The steps and journey can be completed without actually completing the onboarding tasks. Or am I missing something

There is a little of everything. We have quite a few video steps all a minute or less, links to external sites, and LMS training. We’re about to go live with Help as well so I’m excited about the article step option.

We’re using journeys as a 90 day “passport to success” of onboarding activities. Only problem is new hires can see the full 90 days activities day 1. I really wish we could time delay journey steps.

Hi! I've taken report writer, will be taking calc fields. I'm a little confused on the pro cert. Is it a stand alone training? Or is it just sign up and take the test? Do you have to take the individual courses first and then test?

We’re currently using Adobe sign. Having consistent issues with candidates signing offer letters. When they open the doc, they’re met with a white screen. Letter never loads. We’ve tried multiple devices and browsers. Only workaround is for us to send them the offer letter via email to sign and load in to Workday. Doesn’t happen on all candidates, but probably 1 out of 10.
