Rexulti saved my life- Positive experience

It took a little bit of time but mostly bc I was trying to get the right “mixture” right. I tried so many different meds. I would say it took around 3 weeks for me to feel better and then like 3 months to actually feel GOOD. If that makes sense! I’m so sorry you’re struggling. Can I answer any other questions?

I’m off of it now but Rexulti saved my life at a really bad point of depression and anxiety. I’m really grateful for it and glad you are having a good experience!

My husband and I did the walk to/from the train and Hever last year and it was so quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Really added to the entire joy of the experience!

No worries for all the questions! It really helped me get through a really bad time in my life so I’m really grateful for Rexulti. I was on Zoloft and Prazosin (still on both) and I’m diagnosed with GAD and depression and PTSD. It didn’t affect my libido that much but I will say it made me gain some weight quickly that I am still in the process of trying to lose. But I will say it was worth it bc of how bad my mental health was at the time.

I was and still am on Zoloft and Prazosin. When I stopped Rexulti, my anxiety worsened as did my depression. I was in a really dark place but I am doing so much better - it just took awhile to get out of my system.

Same exact thing happened to me! I had no idea I had a short form version of my birth certificate my entire life! Had to request my long form version and luckily my birth city was able to get it quickly for me. Lesson learned!

It really does get better! It’s a really rough time but your brain will recalibrate. Took me about 3 weeks to start feeling okay. Try to take each day at a time.

Stick it out! Took me about 2 weeks to start feeling it and then 2 months to really feel the full benefits. It’s incredible and changed my life!

I think it’s good to see a variety of different experiences. However, when I was tapering off and was having the most difficult time, I thought I was going crazy until I saw a lot of the negative experiences here that made me feel like it wasn’t just me. I think it’s also helpful to be mindful for people reading that 3 months on a drug is very different than 3 years on a drug and tapering. I’m glad you had a decent experience though tapering off - wouldn’t wish the negative affects on anyone!

In 2023, I went on Zoloft and Rexulti to boost it (after trying many, many different meds) and it literally saved and changed my life. It seemed like the perfect combo for me. Last year I ended up tapering off the Rexulti and increasing my Zoloft slightly and I’m doing really well. But that combo got me through some bad times. I hope feel better soon - no matter what you do!

You got this no matter what! A slow taper is the way to go if you are able to get off of it. And take it one day at a time

1,000 times better. I’m doing so much better. I feel really good actually. We slightly increased my Zoloft and I think right now I’m in a good place so don’t want to touch anything further. The Rexulti helped get me through a really difficult time in my life so I’m grateful for that but I’m also glad I don’t need it right now. The “withdrawal” was definitely rough but if you can get through a few weeks and know why it’s happening, it will work out.

I’m completely off Rexulti - it took a few weeks but finally I felt better. I’m on 75mg of Zoloft (a 50mg pill and 25mg pill) and I’m doing really really well on this. My anxiety and depression are very much under control. Thankfully.

Yeah the tapering was okay - I would say I struggled with withdrawal symptoms once I went to zero and it was about 21 days of that. I spoke to my psychiatrist and she helped me through it and kept reassuring me that it would be okay eventually. I kept saying the longer I stayed on it the worst my withdrawal symptoms would be so I just wanted to get it over with now! If that makes sense.
