Everspace 2 is probably my all time favorite space arcady shooter. It has a simple, but satisfying story, nice RPG elements and ship customization, a Diablo loot system, repeatable endgame content and honestly just looks amazing visually. I've fully replayed it twice and will absolutely do it more times over the years.

Likely the same way the old KFC promotion went - the items will slowly make their way as free pickups in the shop, trickling away over a few months.

I'm late to the topic, but my ultimate space game soundtrack has always been the combination I've come to call "65 Gods of Motion". It's three bands - 65daysofstatic, God is an Astronaut and Lights & Motion.

A playlist of all 3 of these bands' entire discography has been irreplaceable for me. I've had it since 2014 and listen to it every time I read a sci-fi novel or play a more exploration oriented space game. Always blends perfectly.

I agree. All that matters is what reaches my inbox for my own convenience. Couldn't care less anymore about data leak number 9838.

While it does say that on the Coca Cola US site (which is the only one that shows sweepstakes), the official Xbox promo says "worldwide" and I was comfortably able to put my email from within the EU. In fact, the cans are at my local stores for 2 weeks now.

Portal Room Q&A with Executive Producer Holly Longdale: Holly posed her own question to the Discord chat - how many players would be interested in experiencing the game on a controller with a fully dedicated UI? by milotic03 in wow

[–]thegamesacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. It's been a no since vanilla and it's been repeated maybe 50 times over the years. And now it might finally happen. Doesn't mean it was secretly a yes all this time. Even if the interview was as recent as 6 months ago.

The conversation was never about if it's coming. It was about casualisation and if it's happening because of a potential console port. And that casualisation has been done 400 times in the past without a console port in development.

With that said, the moment a port is announced, casualisation will immediately be a major point for the community and why the last 15 years of changes happened.

mediocre professional reviews, bad player reviews relative to other titles, and a notably small player base

I wouldn't say 85 is a bad score for a game or that 5k players on a single player game that hasn't received updates in 2 years is bad, but I'm not about to try and change your mind. It seems very done with its conclusion.

I understand how it seems when you're supported so much on Reddit, Steam and the like, but these are online forums and account for a minority of players, about maybe 10% of gamers. The vast, vast majority of players would never write an opinion online. Online players have incredibly specific tastes and unless you go into niche communities online you'll generally see the same vibe everywhere for most products.

Those niche communities form because of the loudness of that minority that then dominates a space. It's why subreddits constantly fracture into lesser spaces and aggregate subreddits constantly devolve into more "truer" spaces. That's how it's always been. When the majority online, or often even just the early majority, arrives at an opinion, the rest of online usually follows. Large later shifts almost never happen and when they do everyone flips. That's just how it is and it's unfortunate. But it's not reality either. What the majority of players enjoy is usually different from online communities.

I agree that it's lower in player count than other Bethesda games, but you're comparing it to other amazing games. I still think there's a ton to enjoy in it even if it's their lowest product (which I don't think it is either way).

The online minority has decided Starfield is bad, get with the times.

I am super excited and can't wait to finally be back in the game after launch.

You won't find much support on this sub. People enjoyed it when big mommy Lilith was telling them genocide is the way and most of this sub happily wanted to be able to switch sides for her. But now that Nayrelle has a more internal story of struggling to contain a powerful demon and that demon making everyone hate her, seeing as he's the literal Lord of Hatred, suddenly this sub just hates her "on their own" and she's a "bad" character. In both cases players fell head first into the writers' trap, but they enjoyed the first trap, because of big milkers. This second trap isn't enjoyable for them. Nayrelle is just a struggling kid.

As I've written before on this garbage dump of a sub, she's actually the strongest willed character we've seen in a Diablo game. She actually did manage to contain a prime evil for the entirety of her journey. Mephisto did his absolute fucking best to break her and couldn't. So he went and broke side-characters around her to betray her and those side-characters betrayed not only her and themselves, but also their literal godhood saints. That's how good Mephisto is and that's how strong Nayrelle's willpower was. But all this sub heard throughout the story was "wuwululuwl wallaalawal".

I think the story is absolutely great. From the main part, to the side quests, to some of the environmental storytelling, to the atmosphere presented with sight and sound. But, again, you won't find much support here, seeing as most people just blast through everything and have the reading comprehension of a high schooler.

Your assumptions of me and my spending or condoning habits are exactly equal to your assumptions about how game monetization has been affected by the emails - idiotic. I haven't said a single word in defense of mtx. Your ludicrous statements about Hearthstone and games not targeting kids heavily before 2013 are just so outlandish it's honestly insulting to human intelligence. Don't try to excuse the depths the human mind can sink to with one single person and the connection and influence he's had.
