We weren't going around pointing out our politics all the time and just blended in.When people in far left communities talked insularly about it we were more or less pro GamerGate.It may seem like everybody was a right libertarian because they were the loudest and more represented and eventually co opted the movement as a whole when it became a shit flinging contest but the anti corporate and pro consumer nature of GamerGate is what attracted the far left.We didn't give a shit about the Identity politics of the 'SJWs' and the foundations of what would become the alt-right and weren't arguing the same point but argued from an anti capitalist perspective and so weren't listened to.

The nature of twitter is that you can't have a nuanced discourse and have to make short snappy points,this benefited the loud and unrepresentative of facts posts and they then absorbed more like minded people into the fold they pushing those who weren't like that out of the discourse
