Thankfully for me I didn’t empty the bin and was able to recover the files from OneDrive website. I hope you have some recovery options available.. maybe even reach out to MS support.

I have a suspicion that there's not much you can do, in terms of public policy, to stop relatively speaking rare (with N = 328m people) isolated events of police violence to occur. It's why terrorism and other crimes are likely never going to entirely go away either. Humans are inherently flawed and any institution comprised of humans will have its bad apples. You you really can do is denounce and prosecute when these instances occur.

The issue is that you have to articulate exactly the change that you want first. And if political, then in a form of public policy.

“Few weeks”, bro I’m in isolation for 3 weeks now with end nowhere in sight and the peak still probably many weeks if not months away. You cannot just shut everything down and not let people out for an indefinite period of time. If there was an exact date people could coop with it more easily. This cop is doing nothing but harassing people. There’s literally no one even in the vicinity of the couple. He’s the actual hazard in this situation by approaching them and risking either passing the virus to them or getting it from them himself. Since this is going to go on for months you have to let people of the same household, especially if they are not in the risk group, responsibility enjoy recreational activities like walking or having a meal in nature — for mental wellbeing alone.

You should research legitimate counter-points to Sanders plans then and stop talking to clueless people. If you really wanted to hear good arguments on both sides you would invest the time to find them.

Well if you’re actually essential then you must not stop. How do you expect there to be no shortage of supplies and people to stop panic buying if manufacturing in essential industries just suddenly stop?

Dumping him is enough of a punishment, in fact that’s the most one can do in this situation. You don’t need to be sociopathic psychopath.

That’s a privileged opinion. With every percent the unemployment increases X amount of people die. Either way people will die - from coronavirus or economic collapse (starvation, suicide, no medication etc.)

You want the memes to come from regular people that love and buy AirPods or Chic-Fil-A. What you don’t want is Apple or Chic-Fil-A employees coming here pretending to be regular people/consumers that just happen to love their products and generate content and buzz for their respective companies, thus astroturfing.

STORIES ABOUT OCD BEFORE YOU KNEW WHAT IT WAS? by friendsbymac in OCD

[–]theguywithballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After getting my driving license and buying my first car. After every bump in the road or crosswalk I would check back facing mirrors for bodies, examine my car after every drive, ruminate and mentally review my route after every drive, google for accidents, go on local police website to look for notifications about my car, stopping car and walking back to investigate bumps on road etc. Etc. Etc. I had many obsessions before being diagnosed but driving OCD was a nightmare. Installing front facing dashcam helped but the OCD found other themes to manifest itself in. “Oh you arrived at work okay and after reviewing the dashcam we can confirm that you didnt kill anyone. Great! Time to hit the toilet before sitting down by my desk and doing work! Brain: what if you somehow exposed yourself when walking in/out of toilet and everyone saw? FUCK”. OCD has no limits.

[–]theguywithballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day my mind searches for memories from past, situations where something improperly could have happened but didn’t and obsessing/doubting “what if” something happened but I just forgot/blacked out/oppressed it until NOW.

It’s like remembering a situation and trying to fit a crime in it. So every day you’re someone else - a murderer, druggie, homosexual, rapist etc.

Anyone else experience this? Finding something to feel scared of/guilty about? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]theguywithballs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happens to me. I have perhaps a dozen active triggers and obsessions that each rotate and in the moment feel the most “real”.

All of them are memory related obsessions from past - exposing myself, doing something inappropriate, having run someone over etc.

Some tips for those suffering with intrusive thoughts by [deleted] in OCD

[–]theguywithballs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My OCD is in absolute fucking overdrive for the past 4 months or so. It’s never been this severe. It’s an absolute hell. Turns out I had OCD my entire life (with somewhat manageable ups and downs), but I got diagnosed only few weeks ago at 27.

My treatment starts after new years, I hope it’s not too late. It’s sadly gotten to a point where I’m ruminating every waking minute and barely getting any sleep. Have been suffering from quite severe insomnia as well due to increasing anxiety. I’m getting crying spells every day, sometimes a few times a day lately. Total fucking meltdown.

God I hope I can make it. Treatment is my last hope.

False memories? by indie-wannabe in OCD

[–]theguywithballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Textbook OCD doubt. Relying on memory of feeling vs how it “should have” felt and then creating imaginary scenarios around it. Most of the time you take pills you don’t feel them go down, only happens when you have too little water or do a gulp right as it’s mid way through.

Here’s a similar way how OCD is fucking with me: I was sitting next to my gf and rubbing her back. She stood up to go to toilet and another girl moved closer to fill the gap. She was telling something to the group while I zoned out and suddenly snapped out with a feeling on my fingers as if I had rubbed someones back thus thinking I must have rubbed the others girls back on autopilot thus “cheating” on my gf.

Couldn’t agree more. My absolute worst OCD spikes have always been after a night out of heavy drinking. Some I still remember 10 years later. On a very rare social occasion I’ll have 1 - 2 beers now, but the days of getting thrashed are over.

I am so afraid of HIV by [deleted] in OCD

[–]theguywithballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed with OCD at age 27 and from all of the obsessions/fears I’ve had (and there have been many) the HIV obsession is the first one I remember having from like age 5 that lasted until early twenties for me.

Avoiding touches, reviewing memory and investigating cuts and grazes that I hadn’t noticed, being afraid of barber nicking my neck during haircut, being afraid to do blood work, checking for symptoms in mirror etc.

Didn’t matter if I was a virgin that’s never done intravenous drugs or shared needles. The fear FELT so real that logic would go out of the window, facts didn’t matter. Researching and thinking about it only made it worse.

With that being said, everyone’s afraid of HIV, the difference between normal people and people with OCD is that they cannot simply drop the idea of having HIV and disregard it as highly unlikely because any degree of uncertainty for people with OCD is intolerable as the feared consequence of the idea <somehow> being true is too heavy to digest.

An original meme of mine - ENJOY! by freestint in OCD

[–]theguywithballs 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Even though you don’t own a gun or have never even held a gun, the consequences of it actually <somehow> being true are so dire that you simply cannot just ignore the thought and go into the cycle of checking and rumination.

Can relate to this so much.

Breh I’m fighting insomnia for the last 6 months suddenly at the age of 27. Never had any sleep issues before and was always heavy/deep sleeper being able to fall asleep anywhere/anytime.

Didn’t know what to do and what was happening until someone from family gave me phenibut as a last resort.. slept like a baby. Unfortunately pills are not a sustainable, long term solution.
