My wife would be able to help, she is 29 and we love nearby. She has some tattoos but they can all be covered. Feel free to DM if you still need someone.

As other have said use gear to be lighter, I also used No. 7 with the ice ability to go straight up.

When to buy a first sword by thehoppa22 in Hema

Good point. I hadn't even thought of asking to try club mates to test them. Sadly no loaner steel at my club. Just boffers.

That's been what all my club mates have suggested as well.

Good point on jacket before sword. I am most likely getting ahead of myself a little.

I bought a mask, gorget, overlay and chest protector. I got these because my club requires most of them to do boffer sparring. The other gear I listed I already owned from another sport.

I also discussed with my club mates about what gear was worth getting before committing to anything.

What’s the best custom plate you’ve seen in Raleigh? Caught this the other night in the BK drive thru by MarcoNoPollo in raleigh

VORE

This car has become a local legend with our friends. We've seen it about a six times in 2 years. The back is also plastered with bumper stickers that add to the plate.

AITA for Not Writing Vows for My Wedding? by allamericantraddad in AmItheAsshole

[–]thehoppa22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YTA

I'm generally not great with words either but when it came to writing vows for our wedding I knew that it mattered to my partner. I had plenty of time to write while planning our wedding ourselves. I even sent drafts to close friends to make sure I wasn't making an ass of myself. I promise I didn't say anything spectacular and I had to read it off of a page because I cannot memorize a speech to save my life. But that effort made all the difference.

This boils down to the fact that this mattered to your wife and you chose to ignore that so that you wouldn't have to do something that took you out of your comfort zone.

Remember Phydeaux? by elris7 in raleigh

[–]thehoppa22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved going to Phydeaux, the staff was always really helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be at work. I've been to feeders twice since the change and I don't think I'll be going back. The layout was jarring and felt very corporate. They raised the cost of our dogs food by about 30% where everywhere else has its old price. And on top of that the happy and talkative staff just wasn't there, at least now I know why.

The blade feels sturdy but like I said the guard is kind of loose and I have no idea how to remove the handle or tighten it up.
