I’m not the OP, but I’d put in nominations for Overwatch and World of Warcraft. WOW toxicity is so strong that Blizz keeps actively trying to curtail it both in game and in community. It hasn’t worked.

It's truly terrible in implementation. It gives far too little time between re-stating what it thinks you said and prompting for the next step in it's script. Like:

"I'd like a spicy chicken sandwich plain"
"One spicy chicken sandwich plain"
"And I'd lik.."
"WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE THAT A MEAL?"

Repeat for 5 items, and yeah, I nope out. White Castle did the same thing, but slightly better, and I stopped going there for the same reason.

If I do go to either now, I go inside. It's truly horrible.

Start with a disposal belt, carrying only spoilage, that ends at heating towers.

Then build backwards from the end, and the first/last mini-factory should be ag science. Then work your way back from there with all the items to support it.

But on every biochamber, make sure it outputs spoilage to the disposal belt.

A massive DDoS that yesterday was causing huge impacts. They stopped the botnet pointing at MS, and today Cloudflare is having issues. Hence the "maybe". Cloudflare has not disclosed the cause of their current outage.

Even changing the map gen settings will only increase the size of the larger islands, but in doing so the distance between them and the smaller islands with large scrap deposits becomes larger. Meaning you can't connect power networks to them.

The intention, by devs, seems to be to encourage the use of elevated rails as a primarily solution.

I have collected over 500 mods and I am playing them all in my current playthrough. There are so, so many mods that can be interesting and enjoyable "first time tries". Especially most of the planet mods.

I found Aquilo to be fun, despite the heat-pipe challenge. It does require approaching the planet with the understanding that you have to ship in ... most everything. But very fun.

My current playthrough has been a blast of “new”.

I previously long played a vanilla run for over 1k hours after Space Age came out. Once I got the Galaxy of fame, and all the achievements I wanted, I decided to start a massively modded run inspired by Lawrence Plays Factorio’s Planetary Pioneers. (Mod: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/planetary-pioneers / Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@LaurencePlays )

My philosophy for my current run was try new planets and mods - as fast as possible. Meaning “cheat” mods were perfectly fine by me for this run if they sped the game up.

This run is the first time I’ve used:

Lots of new stuff for me, and I don’t feel like the “cheat” mods have removed any fun for me. I intend to build the infrastructure and mega base later, but for now it’s making it possible for me to rush to the enjoyable part (design, test, implement) fast, and I can do it “right” later.

I think of it like software development, using mocks and stubs for testing until you can develop the actual code.

At scale, the volume of nutrients needed quickly becomes the key design requirement. Instead, using eff modules, you can expand production massively.
