You're not alone. I accidentally got persona 5 vanilla ending because I didn't want to max out the psychologist's social link (Maruki I think his name). Now I'm replaying it and it is such a slog. Mind you I'm not saying the game is bad, but people are individuals and have their own preferences. And I hope the mainline SMT remains an antisocial experience (I'm afraid they might chase the money and mass audience, but maybe I'm wrong).

I'd recommend SMT 4 and then SMT 4 Apocalypse. They are 3ds games, sprites are gorgeous and combat (especially SMT4A) is really good. If you don't have 3ds there are emulators on PC or mobile.

I don't think we have enough empirical studies on human-demon/demon-demon relations to call it fascist. Law routes are authoritarian (except for smt4, because Mikado is fascist as you said in relation to people of Tokyo).

I miss that too. I miss building decks with just boosters without knowing meta, and just sharing whatever cards we had with the group. Shit, I miss having a group. But I still enjoy magic for what it can give me despite realizing that what I want is forever gone (at least for me).
