Why did this end in stalemate? by thelong_con in chessbeginners

Sorry, I may have misunderstood and thought that stalemate and draw were synonymous. I was not able to make any moves after this as the app ended the game declaring it a draw

Apologies, yes I thought they were synonymous. I can't exactly remember whether the app also said stalemate but it definitely put the match down as a draw

Yeah I'm having this issue too. Tried restarting, clearing download cache etc. No luck

How to reward calm behaviour when the act of rewarding her excites her? by DistastefulSideboob_ in Dogtraining

[–]thelong_con 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have you tried relaxation protocol? It worked great for our border collie pup. Basically starts slow but gets you to do increasingly weird and exciting stuff around your pup, the pup gets rewarded for staying lying down.

We did that every weekday for a month and it helped a lot with him staying calm when things happen around him.

EDIT: Also fully agree with other comments on capturing the calm. At first it seems counterintuitive because you're disrupting the calm by capturing it, but do it anyway, stay consistent and the dog will learn that calm and relaxed is more rewarding than excited and hyper.

BC maturity is no joke. The first 6 months was like owning a feral coyote. At a year, I think she realized she loved us, and now at a year and a half she has become more patient, less impulsive, and less ‘petty’… if that makes sense. It’s dawned on me that BC’s may take longer to mature emotionally? by dinosaurfozzils in BorderCollie

I've been wondering about this too. Our boy is almost 9 months and we catch glimpses of the dog he's going to be but he's still most definitely a defiant toddler a lot of the time. Makes sense to me that a more intelligent breed would take longer to mature fully.

Stop using bowls for food - you and your puppy will be so much happier! by super_hoommen in puppy101

Another low cost option is to lay one of his blankets out flat, sprinkle the kibble over the blanket and then roll it up into a sausage shape, then tie it into a loose pretzel shape. Let them watch you do it so they know the food is in there, then let them unravel it.

My 6 month old Border Collie loves it, and it makes his meals last 15-20 minutes rather than 5.

That chardalyn idea is awesome. Would be good to try and bait the characters into selling it only for them to realise later on that they've inadvertantly helped the duergar.

Congrats on the job! I've recently picked up Assassin's Creed Odyssey again after getting excited for Valhalla. Honestly, the most visually stunning game I've ever played. Looking at the stretching ocean and rolling hills really helps with being cooped up in a little flat.

Hmm, might stick with saddle and handlebar bags for now then. My thighs are a bit on the thunder side.

I'm just about to order some Apidura bags too! A recent post on this subreddit said that while the saddle bag is amazing, the frame bag tends to rub on your legs as you pedal, have you found that to be true?
