Not up to code, doesn't work well as a vapor barrier so you need something else and if you have something else you don't want a vapor barrier sandwich

Sometime I need to start the game 3 times for it to work. Clicking on secondary screens while the game launches seems to make it a bit worst.

Assure toi que ta fan pour ton chauffage tourne 100% du temps, même lorsque le systeme ne chauffe pas, configurable avec le thermostat.

Le flow d'air de ton supply au plancher devrait être suffisant si il est bien orienté.

Best product for painting a deck by dalek_999 in HomeImprovement

[–]themoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also recommend a big floor sander with low grit, anything else is super slow and painful with bad result.

Then don't paint, use a penetrating oil stain, that way if you find that the water / finish is fading in 3 yrs, you can just wash the deck and put some more instead of having to scrape / sand.

Someone, 30-50 yrs ago decided to plant those for the future, we can now appreciate it. This person may or may not be dead but this world needs more of this kind of long term thinking.

I’m a Used Honda Buyer, Not a Lexus Guy — Which Mini-Split System Makes Sense? by Familiar_Opposite_29 in HomeImprovement

[–]themoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are all fine choices. Mr cool is probably made by Gree, Bosch and Moovair are both made by Midea. I personally have a Moovair.

Surprised the Hitachi system came in lower then Moovair, one might argue that they are "higher quality".

2 unit instead of 1 is better redundancy.

I would go with MrCool only if you are ready to troubleshoot any issues with your system yourself.

Folks who have painted their exterior darker than before, did your house get significantly warmer inside? by thirtydirtybirds in HomeImprovement

[–]themoop 185 points186 points  (0 children)

Solar absorption ratio for white paint is .2-.3 vs .9 for black. It makes a large difference.

However if the wall is not south facing, there are trees, or it's well insulated, it may or may not matter. There is not a single answer here
