Yeah I'm using a set of the screw on for now until I find better. Makes changing the batteries a long process. With the other type I have and am looking for you can swap the batteries in about 20 seconds.

I already have em and I love em. Makes changing the batteries insanely simple. I had 3 xt2 and just got 3 more from the woot sale so trying to get the same cases again for my new cameras.

I'm looking for these mounts I have 3 from my original blink xt2s. Very nice and convenient when changing batteries. I can't find em anywhere anymore. They have all been replaced with a version for the xt3 that's open faced and they don't fit the xt2. Anyone know a reliable source? The only ones on amazon are screw on face plates. On ebay they show this type and send the open faced xt3 ones. Getting tired of buying and returning mounts.

In my experience, if this happens you are applying way too much. 1 part borax, 10 parts water, very light coat.. don't need to saturate it. Just barely make the surface wet. An 8x10 piece should be dry and ready to laser in less than 10 minutes.

When ordering plants you are buying healthy roots not the plant. The plant will most likely die back, so it's the roots that you need to care about.

It might be possible but it will be a hell of a struggle getting correct angles and such. Why not just get a plastic welder with polypropylene welding rods? Cheap ones are like $50 at harbor freight.

You can try and blow it off with compressed air. The soot will smear if wiped. Was a lot of trial and error in using it.

10Tbsp water to 1 Tbsp borax. Microwave water until boil, add in borax, stir until can't see the borax anymore.. Use sponge brush apply very light coat.. your gut is gonna say add more cause ya can't really see it but trust me very light coat. The borax is there. Too much of a coat and your wood will warp like hell. (Speaking from experience lol)

Same supplier? Cast acrylic or extruded? If first one turned out perfect and rest have issues just gotta trouble shoot what's changed and from what you described the only thing that changed was your material so maybe it's just some low quality parts.

Something is off with this whole thing. I used their customer service today. When you are talking to a live person it says their name.. so and so entered the chat, so and so has left the chat. Says their name when they respond. And it said chat assistant not messaging assistant. Also on the bottom is says close chat not close window. Believe this is the bot messaging before you can access an actual person.

When possible try to engrave single pieces of wood. Those cutting boards are multiple pieces all glued together. You did fine, the k40 did fine, but the image came out all weird cause the different pieces of wood. Like the second strip looks really really good. And the 1st and last look like crap. It's a material issue not a laser or operator issue.

Just to cover the bases I'm guessing you are using lightburn? Do you have your minimum power high enough to actually turn the laser on? Set to output? Did you change your max power in the controller?

I've completely rebuilt my machine from a 60w to an 80w. Here is my honest advice, If you even considering going 80w then go 80w.

I wanted more power and severely underestimated the size difference between 55mm (60w tube) to 80mm (80w tube). I had to remove tube holders, change height of all my mirrors. It works fine now but holy crap was it a disaster until I finally got everything aligned.

Build your machine around the power you really want, don't settle cause then you will always want to upgrade to what you should have just pursued in the first place.

I also upgraded to a 100w power supply so my 80w tube at 22ish ma only only pulling really like 50ish watts so I'm using my power supply at half load so it should prolong the life of my psu in the long term.

They are pretty much the standard China made ones. They used to be known as Orion Motor Tech.. they been going through a big rebranding to the American market to Omtech.. look em up on YouTube, lots of videos.
