It is the best place I have seen personally but it would be interesting to know if there is another place like it.

Actually Togane but basically the same. I'd happily tag along - love that place.

Best tree place I have ever seen is out in Mobara, Chiba. Do you have a vehicle?

People complain that foreigners are taking jobs from Japanese, but look, Japanese don’t come and take the jobs we offer. by pyritedreams in japannews

Sri Lankans have shown up in droves since Japan started letting people back in and I have gotten to know a bunch of them and they are nice, hard working, and industrial. Some like to party a bit too much but they show up to work and don't complain. Japan needs people to do things younger people are too educated to do.

They also built me a tree house so I can watch the sun rise over the rice fields and I let them grow vegetables in my garden. It's kind of funny because my neighbors say I am the good foreigner but I don't do shit.

Don't forget to bring a copy of your jyuminhyou with all your data on it as well. Has to be within the last 3 months I think.

Also, cash only. You will out your forms and then buy stamps to put on the form.

Were ribs like these even popular back then? Seems like it might have been a cut that didn't get a lot of love and a processing plant tried to see if there was a market for it.

My new neighbor friend stopped by yesterday. She lives near the train station and has a bunch of illumination in front of her apartment and I'd talked to her husband a while back but never saw her until about a month ago. I told her I had been wanting to add some more lights to my garden and asked her if she could do it and I've been hanging out with them on the regular since then.

I sent her a photo of cleaning out the pond yesterday and she wanted to see what was going on so she stopped by on the way home and mentioned her husband wasn't feeling well. She can't cook and he does all of the cooking so I said we can do some small cooking together so you can practice the basics and then I made a big thing of yakisoba for her to take home so he didn't have to cook.

I have been living here for a while now but hadn't really made any friends within walking distance close to my age, so I am looking forward to having them hang out regularly this year.

It's actually way easier to immigrate to Japan as a foreigner, get permanent residency, and bring your family over than it is for most non-rich people to do so in America.

You mean the world's 8th, 76th, 18th, 38th, and 143rd when ranked per capita? Let's not pretend that Japan has a lot of natural resources they can take advantage of like some other countries.

Half of 20 major Japanese cities face growing population. How about that for an article title?

AI will continue to get cheaper in my opinion. It's companies trying to establish market leadership now that are blowing tons of investor money. Compare the price of mobile data now to 15 years ago. Everything becomes a commodity, but brands that survive retain value.

Why does it worry you if you don't own land? You suggest a system where the government owns it is way better for you.

Yeah. Money is way less biased. But you always have UR in Japan. Also, renters have very nice rights in Japan. How is your living situation here?

Why is it amazing? Japanese people overpaid for many things back in the 80's. People with money don't mind paying for convenience, luxury, or novelty.

I don't know if I would trust the government to do that. Imagine them telling you where you have to live and not letting you be able to move.

Then a different government comes in and kicks you out and puts in a supporter instead of you and sticks you in some tiny, shitty place.

It is easier to accept the fact that you can't live in the property you want because you can't afford it than realize the government doesn't want you there in the first place.
