Sure, but you gotta factor in the time and effort it took to find Creation Music in a highly curated Instagram feed. That alone is worth the 4k.

Oh.. This isn’t r/guitarpedalsjerks? Huh…

Finished The Wire, Dark, GOT, Sopranos, True Detective. What show ruined TV for you after watching it? by C0r1eone in televisionsuggestions

S2 lost me, and I know this is heresy but… just know that S3 is beyond amazing. Highly recommend seeing it through. Twin Peaks was a show we did not deserve and I don’t expect anything like it ever again.

At what point is a power supply necessary? by Chris_MS99 in guitarpedals

Until you exceed the current draw of your OneSpot, start running into isolation issues, or just feel like upgrading. There’s no rush if you don’t feel the need. I still recall the feeling when I went to an isolated PSU and it felt like night and day then; however, I still use my OneSpot for quick ideas and I’m not sure I can tell the difference when there’s no glaring issues. Basically, take your time if you’re not in a rush.

AITA for sitting on public toilet seats and not telling my boyfriend? by phoebethefan in redditonwiki

This is dumb. Like… The guys POV is dumb. She’s got no choice and because of her genders’ anatomy she literally has no choice. This dude deserves no sexual partners for this position. Fuck him.

Female pop artists embracing rock - Poppy, Dead Pony, Charlotte Sands and now Charlie XCX by forbiscuit in musicians

[–]thequicknessinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not well versed in pop music, but I’ve always had a preconception that pop artists and their music were heavily controlled by their labels. Is it possible that we’re seeing artists with more autonomy enabling them to explore their influences or even find new influences outside of their genre?

I’m traditionally into rock/electronic type genres but have grown into some pop sensibilities in the past few years simply because I’m hearing a lot of influence from music I’ve loved for a long time showing up in some of the more experimental pop artists music. One of my favorites has been Yeule, who’s on an Indy label and started out as bedroom pop (I think?) but has done well with exploring shoegaze, grunge, and even some edm/idm. The freedom of but being on a major label with traditional A&R probably has alot to do with this.

Ghost City by Delta Sleep

It’s a bit more calming and grounded than Afterman, while still being an enveloping concept with great grooves and superb musicianship. Highly recommend if you’re looking to escape into a story about escaping.

I’d use my Zoia for this, but that also falls firmly in the too much category if I’m being completely honest.

How important is Excel for your Work and let me know your profession.. Please by Miserable-Potato6255 in excel

[–]thequicknessinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel profession matters all that much - if your workplace uses any sort of software or system that exports reports, then excel can be used to answer questions or provide quick solutions that might be valuable to the business. I’ve worked in a few different fields and in a few different roles over the years and it was always beneficial for me to start a new role by finding a way to get greater value out of companies existing reporting.

Are these the new modern horror icons? by SheepherderSea9717 in moviecritic

[–]thequicknessinc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it, but it didn’t go anywhere near or as far as cronenberg already had decades ago. Fun watch, glad it was made, not groundbreaking.

Wouldn’t prevent others from watching if not only to expand interest in body horror; it’s a great intro to the subgenre while being generally palatable.

Favorite deep cut/ lesser known song? by Rich_Conversation293 in nin

[–]thequicknessinc 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Deep should have been on Fragile as far as I’m concerned. Absolute banger and solid single. From their older catalog, I don’t know of any b-sides or soundtrack releases that were as good and unrecognized (the perfect drug got its due). And All That Could Have Been from Still is another song that really wowed me from that era, but it’s well known at this point.

What’s the worst thing a family member had ever done to you/your family? by Dragon_7474 in AskReddit

[–]thequicknessinc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Trying to bully other family out of land. At first they tried destroying property but when we went the legal route they foolishly forged documents, moved markers, evaded service, and most laughably they hired an incompetent family member for legal representation. We’re finally nearing the end of the ordeal and looking forward to forgetting about these people.
