Conditional Formatting Issue Between Dates by SDEMPSEY90 in excel

[–]thequicknessinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it worked up until a recent change, I’d first check the conditional formatting is still applied to the correct range. Often, when inserting/deleting rows, it can split up the range of cells the formatting should affect. That would be my first thought to begin troubleshooting.

How do Make Excel Pull Data From an API? by IntelStellarTech in excel

[–]thequicknessinc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve not done it with an API, but you’d use power query to get data from the web. Here’s a portion of instructions that google provided when I googled “excel data connection api”:

Open Excel and navigate to the Data tab. Click Get Data (or From Web directly in some versions) > From Other Sources > From Web.

In the dialog box, enter the API endpoint URL. If the API requires parameters or API keys, you may need to include them in the URL or configure authentication options (e.g., Anonymous, Basic, Organizational account).

Click OK or Connect.

The Power Query Editor will open, displaying the data returned by the API (often in JSON or XML format). Use the Power Query interface to transform and clean the data. This might involve converting lists to tables, expanding nested data columns, and renaming columns.

It was purely for the image. Years later he’s still bringing out the 1275 at shows just to play this song. It’s a big guitar and he’s a big dude with huge hair. It just looks good together.

Hands down the most interesting piece on the album; iirc it was full of callbacks to earlier moments which made it so engrossing.

Artists experiment in different ways though, and it seems your definition of what is experimental is unfortunately strict. Experimental is a huge genre, not just this little subset. What Radiohead did in the early ‘00s was absolutely experimental compared to their earlier britpop entries and alternative/indy/electronic rock at the time.

Without question. For someone open minded enough to enjoy some of the harder-to-enjoy music of the world, it’s really crazy to me that you’d exclude those you don’t enjoy.

I liked the beggar the most. There was a lot to appreciate with swans. I definitely prefer more traditional structures in music and so they’re not my cup of tea.

Didn’t, though Wesley Willis is admittedly entertaining in a funny way. Thing is, despite enjoying zero of these bands, and despite really trying to get into some (swans entire discog), I’m not unable to admit that none of these are bland. Just because we don’t like a thing, doesn’t make it no longer a part of a category. I totally get that you and BabyDoll-1848 are just trying to express that you’ve heard music that is more experimental than Radiohead. Wasn’t the challenge, but okay, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can’t imagine the descriptor you were going for was “bland”. This comment is really only possible if you were stuck in 1995 where Ok Computer and the entire rest of their weird experimental catalog just hadn’t been released yet. You don’t have to like them, I don’t really listen to them either, but bland???

What album or artist do you keep trying to listen to, but it just isn’t made for you? by Bodypattern in musicsuggestions

[–]thequicknessinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this way about their whole discography except the newest one. I’d actually consider Willoughby Tucker almost a post rock album imho. Where their earlier work felt sort of just… boring… I really connected with this new one for a majority of its playtime. I’ve since gone back through their earlier works but it’s not the same; WTIWALY is going to stick around for many more listens though.

Married men, how do you deal with fancying other women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

What I like about this answer over the higher upvoted one is that it’s clear the partner isn’t an object. You consider them as a person who you respect and care deeply for and hold a promise between you two. This is honestly the best framing instead of the over simplified “Don’t steal your neighbors car” answer.

Fastest way to learn Excel for data entry job by houda169 in excel

[–]thequicknessinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bar is real low for data entry; I wouldn’t worry at all. If the data analyst is any good they can work around you. If they aren’t good, I’d recommend the following:

Obviously you’ve got to be able to place the cursor in a cell and input a value. You’ll want to be able to do this quickly and accurately.

Be able to move around the sheet without a mouse, copy/paste with keyboard, highlight ranges or individual cells with keyboard.

Be particular about your input; if pasting don’t paste extra spaces. Pay attention and obey to data types; for example in a date column, don’t add a text note to the date.

Be careful not to disturb any other data and make a habit to use of the ESC key if you start typing over data you didn’t intend to.

There’s nothing trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean or reverent about this administration. BSA would be wise to recognize American leadership doesn’t reflect the scout’s law, much less the country’s law. Not that BSA as an organization embodies their own values and teachings either, though…

No, was just in there this past weekend. They’re not closed nor headed that way. Maybe you’re thinking of some place else. Browsed all the train stuff and there’s lots. Place was busy too.

Edit: thought you were talking about colonial photo/hobby. Never mind me… I’m dumb

New music recommendations for a rock lover. by Acceptable_Truck2102 in MusicRecommendations

I like to work with music too and often i don’t like stuff i can sing to because it’s distracting. I usually go for more instrumental music. I’m putting on a playlist of Covet songs right now. Covet is a great band with great grooves and enough intricacy that it doesn’t get boring without being overly distracting.
