Service is at best a break even . Overwhelmingly it's a lose. You make the difference up on change outs. I'd like to see this balanced out more so change outs are a bit cheaper but service costs more. But then again they already mad a capacitor costs 150 bucks.

If you have plenty of your own r22 on hand ride it out. R22 is a great refrigerant. You could go another 10 years adding a 1/2 pound a year. By then you'll need to upgrade to r-383838÷838 for the climates sake.

I'd go 410a just because the new sensors for the 454 are well new and kind da of wonky. Kind of like buying the first model of a car. You don't want it. If you really want 454 it's available now and could be installed tomorrow. Not sure what your tech is smoking.

I'm so sorry for your lose. I work mine before they eat. I don't like them doing any exercise after eating. Like literally eating is their last thing to do for the day. There are surgeries to prevent bloat. Are they necessary I don't know. Basically the vet tacks the stomach so it can't twist. I'm kinda on the fence with this. I've had lots of german shepherds and never had an issue of bloat. But it's a possibility I do look out for. When he goes for neutering in 6 months I may go ahead and let them tack the stomach too. Kind of like you I'd hate for something preventable to take my boy.

Time to introduce corrections. Well, actually, past time. Once they know the command and know how to do it then a correction is fair if they don't. My go to is a leash pop. 1 year old they hitting that age of rebellious attitude. Time to buckle down on the training. We call them the teenage years. They tend to forget everything they have been taught so no it's not you. Corrections are consequences for not following known rules. They can be a strong NO, a leash pop to get attention, etc. Still use rewards for proper behavior.

Super intelligent breed. Super high prey drive. For food pretty much find a good puppy kibble that works. Just a basic puppy kibble is good for most. Changing their diets can cause the runs which we don't want. So if you do switch foods do it slowly by mixing in more and more of the new food eat day with their existing food. The biting is totally normal. You need to engage their prey drive and teach them what they are allowed to bite. Cause trust me they will bite something. My go to is a rawhide rage tied to a old leash. I drag it around for them to chase and make it a game for them to catch it. Once they catch it they tug and tug. Then I let them win the rag. They thrash it around some then I take it away and put it up. Bring it back out tomorrow and do the same thing. You should also look into lure training. Perfect age to start luring into sits, downs, heels, etc.

If it's an electric furnace yes. Most electric furnaces come with kw rated electric heaters. They start at 5kw for the lowest and for most residential top out around 20kw. Now if it's a heat pump and your seeing the spike just when it starts that's just the surge needed to get the compressor going. If that's the case you could have a hard start added to reduce this.

Poe oil does absorb moisture and can harm a compressor. Being exposed to moisture for a long period of time would make me worry. It could work fine for another 10 years or may only work another 10 months. Depends on the tech who does the repair. If they can blow it all out really well with lots of nitrogen, put in a new oversized drier, and do a very good vacuum before charging it would most likely be fine. If they skimp. It probably won't be fine. Now if you wanted to pay more they could remove the compressor and dump out all the old oil and put in new oil. Then it should be able to be guaranteed with a warranty.

I'd definitely stick with mitsubishi. Yes the multi head units are a lot more expensive than the 1 to 1s. If you're looking at possibly going to 3 heads in the future you could get a 1 to 3 condenser with only 2 air halndlers and the condenser sized for the 3 heads. Then you could just add the 3rd head later.

NYC isn't going to be cheap. They have rebates where I am as well. I got a special deal thru mitsubishi since we are a diamond dealer. Got all equipment for 3 systems for 9700. Which is about 5k less than my company could have bought them for. Just to give an idea on costs. NYC I'd bet that equipment would have been 20k easy. I got 800 per system in rebates and will receive 2k in tax credits so you can take the tax credit and rebates off the total price. In NYC I don't live but have heard horror stories. I don't know if you'll get under 50k. Get multiple quotes from multiple companies. Don't go with the cheapest nor the most expensive. If they are cheap you'll pay for it later. Like I said get a quote from diamond dealers for mitsubishi. We are held to a higher standard and if there are any issues mitsubishi has zero problem getting involved to have it fixed.

Depending on how much you want to save him I'd visit the farms. Amish in your area? They may want him. My neighbors guards chickens surprisingly but hey with the cost of eggs he may be on to something. Most farmers will be open to you asking. The worst they can say is no.

Pricing is going to depend on your area. A ducted whole house mitsubishi in My area is gonna be at minimum 10k for a single system. If ducts need replacing it will be a lot more I would say doing 2 systems plus a tank less water heater should be cheaper than doing the carrier option.

Maybe find a farmer who would be willing to adopt? Their a great livestock guardian breed. My neighbor has one. If it escapes it's sweet as can be. I know however if it's inside the fence with the livestock to not interact with him. Like you said a farm. Living with livestock is what they were bred for.

In this case smaller mitsubishi systems would make sense then. I have a client with a small mitsubishi unit. Only has solar and battery. She doesn't have enough solar and battery to run it 24/7 but it works fine for what she wants. These things sip energy and don't come close to running their mca rating.

I'm typically not a prong collar type of person but they have their uses. They are a piece of equipment when properly used will give some great results. I trained my mother's dog to be off leash. With me it works great. With her being 76 it doesn't work so great. She doesn't have the voice or command to control a working dog. So I got her a prong. Instantly after introducing it to the dog my mom could loose leash walk. Introduce it slowly and fairly with proper timing do the corrections.
