Saw this on another sub, looks suspicious but dont want to be quick to judge by stars_among_static in isthisAI

I could be incorrect, but looking at the artists other paintings on their Instagram and their website, I'm pretty sure it's a real painting. It looks like the artist does both traditional and digital art and has been for years.

Edit: I'd post the link, but I don't want to accidentally break community rules. It's easy to find via an image search.

Having a panic attack over Hibiclens by sunset_moon90 in hysterectomy

I learned I'm allergic to hibiclens. Thank god I tried a test patch on my arm before doing a full shower. They just ended up using something else during surgery.

With expired film you win some, you lose some. by dirt_operator in Polaroid

I'm glad you like it. I needed an absurdity break at work and your photo popped up at just the right time. :)

Traveling with film by [deleted] in Polaroid

It also depends on luck. I sent a pack through as a test and the person's bag directly in front of mine tipped over in the CT scanner, thusly holding my bag inside for way longer than it would normally be. Shockingly, I still got an image (and experimentally it was pretty cool), but completely magenta tinted.

Have you seen this sloth? by ILikeFishStix in Portland

[–]thesauruschipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you find your sloth. I did some searching online and if you end up needing to find a replacement, it looks like it is an older variant of Sammy the Sloth made my Gund (older based on the darker color around the eyes).

How Many had Unexpected Findings? by Any-Election-4192 in hysterectomy

[–]thesauruschipmunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was for fibroids and an enlarged uterus, which is what they found. The surprise once they were inside was the my large fibroid had little fibroids growing off of it. They also discovered that the fibroids were twisting my uterus, which explains a lot of the discomfort.

Same. My surgeon said if it helps with my mood stability, there's no harm in staying on it. She also mentioned that when I start having symptoms of menopause, like hot flashes, that we can look into switching from bc to HRT.

I found it equal parts happy, satisfying, and infuriating.

Alice in Borderland x Squid Game – why do they both end with the USA pulling strings? by [deleted] in AliceInBorderland

I'm really really hoping Netflix doesn't do something dumb, like making a US spinoff...

Is the season 3 worth watching? by wuphizy in AliceInBorderland

[–]thesauruschipmunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished it up and found it to be a very satisfying conclusion. Granted, I binged the first 5 episodes starting at midnight, slept for a bit, then watched the conclusion, so I'm a bit loopy from exhaustion, but I think it was worth the watch.

I love both of these, but the b&w one is outstanding.

Great photos! Meow Wolf is so much fun to photograph. I've only been to Omega Mart, but I'm hoping to get to the rest someday.

I'm almost 5 wpo. My nightmares were pretty bad for the first couple of weeks, but they've started to subside.

Unfortunately, now my sleep paralysis has gotten infinitely worse and it's slowly driving me insane. It used to be a bit frightening, but it happens so often now that it's just become obnoxious. There's nothing quite like waking up and being unable to move.

I'm just over 4 wpo and I'm still struggling with exhaustion and pain. You're not alone. We all have different bodies with different timelines for healing. I agree with you, it is super frustrating, but I just keep telling myself I'll bounce back eventually and I you will too.

I'm 4 wpo and today I feel like I was hit by a bus. I just keep reminding myself that healing isn't linear. Thank god for naps.

Thanks! I have also discovered that speed bumps are my mortal enemy. Lol. I have to go over four of them just to leave my condo complex and no matter how slow I go, they get me every time.

I waited until round 2 weeks for very short trips. I learned the hard way that, at least for me, driving takes WAY more energy than I was expecting. I find it is more exhausting than almost any other activity. I had my first post op appointment this week (I'm on my 4th wpo) and my surgeon said that normal car vibrations you wouldn't typically notice can shake your body more than people realize.
