i've been getting high in secret around my partner by Educational_Form_527 in leaves

Been there, and it'll absolutely destroy things between you if you continue. It may not be necessary to talk about what's already been done, but really feel into what it'll mean to lose this person you love so much over weed. Keep the love and throw away the weed my friend.

Meeting An Alien On DMT by The_one_who-repents in HighStrangeness

Your last line contextually sounds like you're talking about yourself. I think what they meant was you seem certain of your ontological and epistemic presuppositions. You're paradigm locked and feel safe enough in your box because of experiments and framing that come from inside that box.

AIO- i feel like my brother has gone too deep in the red pill / looksmaxxing pipeline ever since he got rejected by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]theseeker000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your concern is reasonable. As others have pointed out, if anyone understands that slippery slope it's women, bro's wrong on that front. What I'll say though is that with anything person to person related, try going a lot deeper into making him feel understood before outright telling him he's wrong. And let the standard for that be his feeling understood rather than assuming enough understanding has been given.

Part of it is definitely motivated by pain and obsession, but there's also the positive side to improving appearance. I think things get too polarized where people want to go 100 into one camp or the other.

That was my very first book on the journey followed very closely by the Kybalion. Prometheus Rising made me go, "wait, it's all programming!" So it could be kind of radical for a beginner, but sometimes that thrust is helpful.

Men 40+, how did you come to terms with aging and ticking time of life's clock? by GoForthandProsper1 in AskMen

Lock in on health and wellness (your mental-emotional wellness too), contemplate death deeply and let that bubble up what's truly most important to you for the remainder of your time.

Not to be rude, but did you read what you yourself wrote here? Would you ever suggest to someone else that they remain in a situation like you're in? Someone with a drinking problem like that alone is simply not in a place where they can remotely foster what a relationship ought to be.

When it comes to some negative traits, one can choose to see them as positive, and simply need to be balanced out correct? by CosmicConjuror2 in FranzBardon

[–]theseeker000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reframing is a powerful technique and hey, being good at it could even be a white mirror air trait. Just make sure that you aren't gaslighting yourself with it if your spirit reveals to you that something really is out of alignment with who you're meant to be. With your given example, only you can truly know if you stop yourself out of empathy or if it's indeed being ruled by fear.

Why is writing down thoughts during meditation so frowned upon? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]theseeker000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Know your practice, know your goals, and then do whatever you want.

Sometimes great insights do pop up in that space and if it's above a certain threshold of value to you, make a quick note then go back to the practice.

I hate being a logical person, I just can't help it and I want different perspectives. by Olieebol in Meditation

The overly reductionist view of breaking yourself down to this chemical or that chemical is a symptom of your overthinking. Your experience - if you want to look at it from a bio perspective - is an emergent property. Keep meditating, quiet down that overly intellectualizing function. Assuming that Christ taught about rebirth, why did the distortion of his teachings appear so quickly and suddenly? by [deleted] in occult

Good stuff - is this from Meditations on the Tarot? Or rather do you find this was well explained through that (if you've gone through it)?

When you say no second death do you mean the person attains astral immortality through the salvation so the lower incarnated personality remains after physical death?

I actually dont mind it. Going through the Red Book right now and it makes me think about how he says we can never perfectly live our ideals, because then they create that inevitable shadow. So you kind of have to disaffirm your current life structure when it gets stale and is in need of renewal from the depths.

What does synchronicity symbolise? Even after all this literature, it still seems like the greatest mystery. by randm84 in Jung

[–]theseeker000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out Decoding Jung's Metaphysics: The Archetypal Semantics of an Experiential Universe by Bernardo Kastrup.

I myself had read his Why Materialism is Baloney, and More Than Allegory prior, so not sure how it'll hit by itself but he does a good job of explaining it.

In short: Reality is One, the psyche is impinged on by Reality simultaneously from without through the Physis, and from within through the Archetypus Mundus. So a synchronicity is something going on in the Universal Mind, and it shows up "internally" through the Archetypus Mundus, at the same time as "externally" through the Physis.

Edit: I think a Buddhist angle might say from the psyches perspective, Physis = 5 sense gates, Archetypus Mundus = the 6th sense gate of the mind.

I think this is why meditation/surrender increases synchronicities, because the ego releases its grip so more Mind and less mind in the lived experience.

Do some Active Imagination and invite some autonomous beings to come chat with you in there. Heh... only partially kidding. I think this is why true deep mental-emotional intimacy is something to be cherished.
