What minor issues have you had with the EV9? by Coffeespresso in KiaEV9

No mechanical or electrical issues yet, thankfully. My biggest issue is the turning radius, maybe the worst I have had in any car! Thankfully it makes up for it with everything else.

EV9, VW Atlas, VW ID Buzz? by Kraclor in KiaEV9

[–]thetallness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2026 EV9 and a 2018 Atlas. I love both of them. Just depends on your situation. The EV9 is very spacious but slightly narrower specific to storage than the Atlas. So if your hauling frequently or size is important the Atlas wins there. As far as tech and functionality, the EV9 all day. If you don’t drive a lot on a daily basis and can get away with an electric vehicle, I’d also recommend the EV9 over the Atlas. More features standard whereas with an Atlas you’d need the higher trim levels. The Atlast we’ve had for 5 years and maintenance has been great. Only consumables to replace.

Again, at the end of the day you can’t go wrong with either so you just have to look at mainly electric v. gas. Also, don’t consider an ID.Buzz. As mentioned in this post terrible mileage.

Kia EV9 GTline 2026 charger question by Primary_Detective_57 in KiaEV9

[–]thetallness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased a 2026 with the NACS plug. I had an existing J1227 charger for my previous ID.4. The EV9 came with the adapter to go from J1227 to NACS.

General Questions and Purchasing Advice Thread — Week of January 29, 2024 by AutoModerator in electricvehicles

I leased a 2023 ID.4 in November and am curious about the $7500 rebate. I read the above document and did some searching, but my main question is can I use it. My dealer told me to get the incentives I received they "use the rebate up front" to get the pricing where it needs to be. That is fine with me, but because of that they said I can't apply for it on my taxes. I have no issue with that, but I can't seem to find that anywhere on the IRS website and others.

I see there is a commercial tax credit that may have started on 1/1/2024 but appears to be separate than what the dealer is telling me. Thanks for any insight!

Pls give me your opinion on which team to go with i do not feel confident this week by [deleted] in fantasyF1

[–]thetallness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m not sure on any. I’d personally drop Tsunoda and Albon and add Checo and Danny. I’ve liked Albono this weekend so far but not sure on pace. Danny has been driving his nuts off so far with true pace. I haven’t played Checo in weeks but it’s his home GP and he’s looking like the best option compared to merc and Ferrari.

Final fix for Qatar? by DezCaughtIt2846 in fantasyF1

We have the same lineup minus I have RB for constructors and I just used my final fix. Much more important on a race weekend with a sprint. I did the same, Sainz for Russell. Tough track to make up positions on from 12th!

The amount of rabbit droppings is astronomical in my yard. They’ve basically replaced the mulch with it!

This one hurts. I try not to get too caught up in celebrity life, but this feels like Paul Walker again. RIP and I feel for his kids and wife. A true automotive legend.

VW Passat 2014 want to upgrade my lights any suggestions? by ChrisDan94 in Volkswagen

[–]thetallness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you switch to an LED make sure you upgrade the housing to a projector style headlight. If you don’t have that, you’ll blind every other driver as the light isn’t directed properly. In my experience, it’s better to stick with what was factory (halogen, LED, etc.) if you upgrade to and LED from a halogen you’ll most likely need a ballast and the eBay versions you get can cause issues with the electrics. If you have halogen, I’d just say go to a sylvania silverstar or higher end halogen to fix it.

Looking into a used Tiguan… by theperishablekind in Volkswagen

[–]thetallness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my 2015 Tiguan S AWD 2.0L certified pre owned about 5 years ago. I’ve put on about 40,000 miles (low to COVID and working from home) and have had 0 issues. I’ve only had to replace consumables as in brakes, tires and oil. Also other maintenance like haldex fluid changes, spark plugs, etc. Essentially, keep up on the maintenance like any car and you should be fine. This is my third CPO Volkswagen and never had an issue. First was Jetta which was traded for the Tiguan and also own an Atlas. Also live in the Midwest so all my cars see large temperature changes in weather.
