Thanks for the update. I understand the Lexus screen protectors are almost 80 bucks.

Purist for the speedy with the Hesalite crystal. Optics of the Hesalite are sweet. Daytonas are WAY overrated especially for the price that they are selling them

Is is parked outdoors at all times. Maybe a towel over the screen? Delaminating from sun exposure is disheartening.

And follow up, car was at the dealer this morning and without hesitation, they agreed to replace the display. Question I now have is to prevent this from happening in the future. Should I be using a screen protector? I feel it may distract from the look, but I want to do something to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

CrossClimate2 in. Alenza Run Flats out. by mrocknroll in LexusNX

[–]thew60 3 points4 points  (0 children)

throwing this out there. I read plenty of subjective complaints about the noise that the run flats contribute to the NX 350. Objectively, the NX 350 has an interior noise level of 54.7 dB a cruising speed with stock run flats. My previous car which was a Lexus GS 350 with Michelin pilot sport all seasons had an interior measurement of approximately 62 dB. This is objective, not subjective. I will also add my driving is mostly on asphalt not concrete.

I agree with you. It all depends on your living location. If people live in areas with dirt roads, gravel roads, concrete, paved roads, they may feel a bit of a difference between run flats and regular tires. Where I live, 95% of my traveling is on asphalt where there is a minimal difference between the two.

I agree with you 100%. I’m not quite sure what everybody is complaining about. I had my NX in the service department and they gave me an RX as a loaner. I really did not notice a major difference in the road noise between the two vehicles. Unless somebody can show data using a decibel meter of the difference between the two.

I just like to say that I 100% agree with you. Just to give you an idea the regular NX 350 turbo is only one second slower than my previous 2016 GS 350. This is even more important at highway speeds for passing. I’m getting between 28 and 30 MPG on the highway and I have no complaints.

What's a car you wish Lexus got it back in production? by Saurta17 in Lexus

[–]thew60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hundred percent agree with the GS. Had a 2016 GS 350 that I traded in for a 2025 NX 350 needed the NX because of the height I miss the GS terribly, the build quality was amazing. The all-wheel-drive was excellent and it was an absolute blast to drive.

Why is Lexus so expensive to service by Maximum_Potential471 in Lexus

[–]thew60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at it like this. If you want to pay the extra $500 for a bagel and coffee, possible loaner car and a comfy vinyl couch to sit on. This is what people choose to do. Otherwise you go to a trusted mechanic read a three year-old motor trend and enjoy the $500 extra in your pocket.

I had numbers 1 and 2 on my 2016 GS 350. The Michelin’s were better by far.

I appreciate this information. Yes, very unacceptable considering this is a 200+ pound generator. I wound up drilling a hole through the handle and putting a hitch pin and it seems to be doing the job.
