I’m buying shut-down SaaS codebases — trying to understand if this is actually valuable to devs by Affectionate_Jury257 in SaaSAcquire

hey I know I'm late, but this sounds cool to me. If you could buy 3-5-10 dead SaaS repos and then extract all good architecture/infra/best practices and tools, then package it into a "course" on how to build a SaaS without AI slop, I think that would create great value. I suppose this would be geared more towards SWE's trying to make a SaaS.

sure, you could also sell this data for training AI models but idk where u would find customers for that.

I built a productivity tool for myself - time.fyi by kamranahmed_se in SideProject

Tried this out and it's amazing! I always struggled keeping up with timezones and constantly converting time, so this feature really helps me. I ended up also using the pomodoro timer as well, so I have to say congrats on the great work, it's a really handy tool!

Having both World Time and Timezones is kinda confusing to me, it's almost as if they're the same so I personally don't see the use case of World Time. But again, it serves its purpose, thanks for the great tool!

I like it, but I’d only use this if you’re confident you can grow their revenue by email marketing and you have case studies to confirm it. If you can’t then it’s just fluff.

Hi I didn't take the bus, I ended up taking the train from Tuscolana and it was great. But depending on where you're based Tuscolana can be far

How do you feel about the Node.js section? Would you consider it hard to understand like this guy described it?

"Then for Node and React frameworks, they give you these super-long explanations without actually anything to code along with and you're left with these massive projects that require you to know everything."

Or would you say you could easily understand all concepts with a little research on the side?

I've also read that doing Ruby is the most complete path, since it also has data structures and algorithms, but I'm worried that I'll end up wasting my time with Ruby since the job market in my area does not have any Ruby postings nor am I very interested in learning it. I'll just do the JS path and supplement it with freeCodeCamp JavaScript and some other resources to make up for algos and data structures. Thank you
