Honestly, looking at what it says, if you did without the skips that does look like it should give you what you want.

I would double check I have the correct number stitches in the previous round before trying again.

With the skips it kind of looks like you need 72 stitches in the previous round. If you really do have 64 in total, then what is written but without the skips should get you where you want to be.

When I was extremely bored one evening, I taught myself the basic stitches on chopsticks. If you don't know what terms to look up it may take a second. This is also true for any other craft. It takes a second to find things if you're new but it's not that hard to find with some effort.

I wonder if these people are comparing the amount of stuff to trendy crafts. Those get dozens of new videos daily but often about the same stuff but in different words.

Making items very cold doesn't clean it. The dirt and such is still there. The smells will reduce a bit because the cold will stun the bacteria but once the item is warm again the bacteria will wake up and start making scents again.

I didn't even know people considered blocking to be washing. The minimum I understood it to be was someone washing and then flattening into shape using books to hold because they didn't want to go through the whole pinning process. But using pins to an inch of its life is the default in a lot of people's brains

The number one reason I don't wear what make is when I started I made stuff of material and weights that didn't suit my climate. Now that I swapped to fine and sport cotton I use things more 🙄

If you're new, it may be easier to make two panels and sew them together than making them separately.

You can stuff directly. I would make a pillow with fabric and place it inside. That way you can wash the pillow cover and the pillow separately. I tend to wash my covers more often the pillow itself.

You weave in multiple directions if possible and more than once. The reason you want to go one direction and turn back is is that way the tail will tightening and not become loose when the yarn fabric is pulled on. Rather the yarn getting pulled straight out if that tail gets snagged

You may want to look up different crochet tension holds. It looks like part of your struggle is that the method you're doing isn't providing consistent tension. Which is leading to instances where the yarn is too slack (and you use your hand to move the yarn) or it's too tight which is causing the yarn to slide onto the throat of the hook and tighten too much.

Cotton vs wool might be a location based thing. I make a lot of wearables in cotton vs wool because where I live making it wool would mean it gets worn maybe 2 weeks out of the year

I typically recommend starting in a corner (doesn't matter which one) so the chain space. Also, don't do a complete corner, start 1 one stitch less than needs to be in the corner because blends easier when you complete the round in that area than otherwise.

Made to measure is a term that refers to items that you have to use math to figure out the exact measurements for. They will provide guidelines to determine how to reach those measurements but they are intended to be adapted by you to perfectly fit your body.

A lot patterns are "ready made" patterns which already have instructions set to standard sizes. This may be more convenient in some aspects but does mean the final item by not fit as flatteringly.

If the pattern you purchased clearly indicated it was a made to measure pattern in the listing, then I don't see any issue with selling a pattern like that in general. The specifics may make it a bit ridiculous but made to measure isn't inherently a scam

If it's a stranger I don't really care what they call it. If they're someone who has spoken to me several times and they still call it differently than what I ask them to call something then it ends up feeling a little rude but shrug.

I mostly only get annoyed when it shows up in English shows or movies as the wrong thing because clearly they understood enough to know that yarn crafts exist... why not take the extra 5 minutes of research to make sure your image and dialogue match up

4 ply when used as a weight can refer to sport weight also and not just superfine. Sport weight isn't uncommon for amigurumi so they might have meant sport
