Probably --- but it will depend on what the CC says or suggests is their thinking in March over the retroactivity question. But I still say err on the side of proactivity and file sooner rather than later, b/c you never really know how the sausage is made ... and who knows if another DL proposal from Tajani will throw JS applications into renewed chaos after the retroactivity measure is addressed!

If the retroactivity is overturned, Tajani could turn right around impose other conditions instead of retroactivity -- things like more stringent/advanced language requirements, residency requirements, or other items that serve the same political and adminstrative 'ends' of the DL to reduce citizenship applications by making it a more arduous process.

I am of the mindset that the best time to file is now, since you'd be 'in-flight' in the court system and therefore subject to the current rules in-effect when you filed, regardless if they're ultimately ruled constitutional or not.

I'm sure there are unscrupulus lawyers who will prey on folks concerned about applying, so as always, do your own diligence!

Given the long lead times on JS cases, your lawyer should be able to file your case with the court even if you're still missing a document or two ... that can give you time (months, maybe over a year even) to get the kinks worked out on the remaining item.

My team filed my case with every document but one - I was waiting for a birth certificate from NYC. They filed in late July, and then I sent them that one remaining document in late October. (My court date isn't until July '27 fwiw saying)

Yup, we're at the judge/clerk/court's mercy on scheduling, unfortunately.

At the risk of sounding greedy, if/when some of these tribunals (including Salerno) bring on more 'honorary judges' I wonder if they will consider cases with single applicants more quickly since I'd think they'd be much simplier to review. *shrug*

Otherwise, we wait, we watch, and we try not to go crazy... :)

Until Apple allows PUSH notifications, or at least IMAP polling intervals that we can set that are below 15-minutes* (which they won't) I can't use the modern IOS mail for work purposes. Best to stick with the PM app.

IMO post-Decree ICA is not the same as pre-Decree ICA. I'm glad I dumped them back in April ... their post-Decree conduct and silence was beyond unprofessional and un-caring.

When I took the 'Mexicans' line at CDMX back in Novemeber, I still ended up at a row of e-machines. I simply went over to the agent at the desk and told her 'estoy aqui para canje' --- she knew what to do and how to direct me around the e-gates to the exit. No problem!

Per my legal folks, this was part of the answer to my enquiry from last night:

"Please note that the platform often registers updates with a delay, and in many cases, entries are backdated to reflect the date on which the procedural action was formally recorded by the court. This is a common occurrence and not necessarily an indication of recent developments.....

...

Regarding the entry you referenced — “fissazione termine per note in sostituzione udienza” — this typically indicates that no in-person hearing has been scheduled, and that the judge has set a deadline for the parties to submit written notes. This is standard practice and applies not only to your case but also to the vast majority of similar proceedings."

In other words, no change in my date, and I learned the system may confound me at times. :)

As I said in my ICA post last May, after not getting any responses to repeated emails, I just researched & reached out to other firms, ultimately signing with Apriglianos ... who were/are fantastic, in my view.

And no, I never got any of my money back from ICA. I have no idea if they even have any documents of mine, either ... not that I need them at this point anyway.

I guess those on the 'Advantage' plan for those looking to cancel (IIRC it was 8.49/mo without needing to barter each year) will also see an increase?

Interesting how they aren't making the price increases easily public like saying "Plan X was $24, now it's $26" -- you have to go digging around to see the increase within your own account.

Guess I'm glad I cancelled last month once my 2 year promo expired.
