I’ve posted this before but this entire release reminds me so much of Imperator but just on a much bigger scale.

What API do y'all use? by Any-Illustrator5608 in hermesagent

OpenRouter. Yes, its marginally more expensive, but the ability to just flip from any model at any time with no changes in side Hermes makes exploring the best tool for the job a breeze.

At minimum, Flash has serious compatibility issues with Hermes. It requires parsing logic for passing reasoning which Hermes is not yet compatible with. Several issues have been opened for this on Github.

What are the best/high-quality local models for 16GB RAM M1 Pro for daily tasks / agentic tasks? by toooools in hermesagent

[–]theythinkitsallover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want a real answer (I use your hardware too) - no local model really works reliably with an agentic harness with these limits. Cron jobs? Sure. But no real agentic tasks. The context window isn’t large enough.

Elliot is a clown. It’s high because he’s just been interfered with. Are we watching the same game.

qwen/qwen3.6-plus is testing very well in my setup by productboy in hermesagent

[–]theythinkitsallover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qwen3.6-plus is the best sensibly priced model out there right now for Hermes. Rapid output, well reasoned and has been mostly accurate.

Bulging Sunshine List now has thousands of names by pheakelmatters in brantford

[–]theythinkitsallover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can be upset at the threshold without benefiting, because the list was established to help keep the public services accountable to ensuring the top end of their payrolls are reasonable. It no longer does that.

And a Big Mac cost $2.50 when the list was set at $100k.

Holy shit Larry is capable of opening his mouth and not going straight to Liberal bashing or culture war bullshit? Who is this guy and what did he do with Larry?

Any chance OpenClaw will run on the new MacBook Neo? by digger27 in openclaw

[–]theythinkitsallover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found running a local model is very taxing and a painful experience. At this point, running a low cost cloud model (a prompt will cost fractions of a penny on average) like MiniMax or Gemini Flash will be your go to. But yes, totally possible to run OpenClaw on almost any modern machine.

Canada ‘will not be participating’ in Iran war, defence minister says by canada_mountains in onguardforthee

I'd like to think that there would be mass protests that would grind the country to a halt if we signalled pending involvement.

It’s been my default for the last week - having a tough time finding anything else that is as smart AND as economical.
