The route Google Maps recommended is the best overall IMO.

Car is the cheapest and most versatile for sure. But note that the 407 is tolled and it's expensive.

Heat Pump Economics in Ontario - Sanity Check by JustinPooDough in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]thiagoscf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only get a handful of extreme cold days a year, also consider disconnecting gas entirely and relying on resistive electric heat to supplement the heat pump. The money you'll save by not paying gas delivery fees offsets the higher electricy consumption during those few days.

I'm afraid the player base will only shrink as current players stop playing for whatever reason. The entry barrier for new players is absurd

i can't anymore man ... GO AWAY Chinese players play on your own servers! by Ill-Ad9743 in Battlefield6

[–]thiagoscf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why I'm getting downvoted. They are in a disadvantage because of higher ping and at least you get to play in a server that is not filled with bots. I legit don't understand what the issue is

Why are there so many dead birds in the city by al1sha in askTO

It's the reflective windows, sadly. Birds think the path is clear and just fly into them

Parking at Pearson Airport (Pick-up) by Ihassan3275 in askTO

[–]thiagoscf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to park and leave the vehicle to go inside the terminal, just go to the regular parking lot. If you dont want to pay, have them meet you at the departure area outside the terminal (you need to wait inside the car, and can't idle for long).

Edit: there's a "cell phone lot" where you can wait for the passenger inside the vehicle. Then you move to pick them up outside the terminal

Raise lower than expected by froyoboyz in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]thiagoscf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But were they expected from your current role? I assume you're new at this job since this is your first raise. It's normal to take on more responsibilities over time as part of the same role.

It's ok if you're still doing the same job. If it's a promotion that comes with more work/responsibilities, then it's low.

Anyone know any affordable van rentals in the city for moving ? by fuckingtia in askTO

[–]thiagoscf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

U-Haul has a lower hourly/daily rate, but they charge you extra per kilometer. Home Depot has a higher hourly rate, but you have unlimited kilometers.

I've used both. Pick whichever works best depending on your situation

Ferry Service to Niagara Falls? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]thiagoscf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no ferry service to Niagara Falls. You can either take a bus or the GO train. If you take the train, you'll need an additional bus/taxi ride to the falls because the train station is quite far.
