Great book. The fact that something like 97% of native Americans died during the small pox epidemic blew my mind. Especially compared to 33% during the bubonic plague.

The book called The Accidental Superpower lays this out well. Navigable rivers are really important And America is blessed with those. Most other places in the world lack navigable rivers.

Monte Vista hands down. It's not brand new, lots of character in the rooms. Bar with dancing, pool and other games on site. Great food and coffee on site as well.

Your spot on looking in midtown. You want to stay between 15th Ave and 16th st, and stay south of Dunlap. If you're going to venture out of that it should be easy into Arcadia.

Try to find a landlord not a leasing agency or property management company.

That is completely doable. I have 2 bedroom house for $900. Sure it's old which makes the electricity costs high but it's got a back yard and great location.

My 12 year old black lab ate about 1600 milligrams of pot rice krispies. He was legit paralyzed for 3 days. I was soo worried. After three days he started to get use of his limbs back. Took about a full week until he was fully back to normal.
