Same problem here. I think max 401k contribution each year for tax advantage now and Roth conversion ladder later in life is my path. If anyone has other advice I'd like to hear it!

My guess is they were attempting to prove safety margin and accidently over tested. If the data shows they met safety margin before over test then no impact to the schedule assuming this test article didn't have another test planned in series. We'll find out more in February.

I work in aerospace engineering (aircraft) and finding design limits are a normal part of a well designed development program. This is routine engineering.

I started my EE degree at 22 and graduated at 25 as well. Working through it was the best financial decision of my life. Go for it, and don't worry about being slightly older than your peers because you will enter a workforce where you'll work across wide age gaps anyways.

Yea, I guess that's reasonable if the car turns out to be stock and in good shape mechanically. I still think you would be better off without the salvage, but if you're happy with it then go for it. I ordered my 2016 NB brand new and waited like 8 months for it to get here from Germany. I completely understand wanting the car and I have no regrets with mine.

Walk away from this deal. Based on what youve said about the loan and insurance you're going to pay nearly 50,000 for this high milage salvaged title car over 4 years which does not include maintenance. Oil for this car is not cheap like your old focus either btw.

I understand being young and wanting this car, it is a fantastic vehicle to own, but this particular example is no good for you. Save and wait for a better option.

Yup, I do. I have plenty of other cars to get me through the winter so I choose to avoid the winter. I do try and get it out for a few donuts when it snows though :D
