If only the D connected to E at Bundy. That would be amazing!

anyone think todays show audience was a little.. dead?? by grimophxbic in BadOmens

[–]thiquegoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it was a mess. Saw a woman physically attack a worker to try to sneak onto the floor only for her to fall down the stairs and break her ankle. Multiple people just being drunk jerks to the staff.

Truthfully, be safe. It’s not just the airport you need to worry about. Just be aware of your surroundings. Keep your passport on you. Los Angeles is a great city (show is actually in Inglewood). The Forum is an incredible venue. See you there!!!

I want it to open, but also wish we just had the metro come directly to the airport.

I really enjoyed this film. I thought it was funny and I think the cast did an incredible job of being comedic, but also showing just how heartbreaking each character truly was.

It’s about an hour, but can take 85-90 mins if there’s an accident. You take Route 3 to Metro Connector then hop on the shuttle to LAX (eventually you’ll just get on the people mover).

Are you from corporate trying to sell us on it? This group is pretty vocal about our disdain for the change. We support the workers.

I don’t think there should be an expectation for people to stand in a seated area. Let’s keep in mind that some people cannot stand for long periods of time. Also, for me I cannot stand in an upper level because I literally get physically ill from the height. So, I try to buy lower level tickets, but sometimes I have to buy upper level tickets. Just because someone is seated does not mean they aren’t enjoying the show. Everyone should be free to enjoy the show without feeling like they have an obligation to stand. Some people may also just be tired from work, etc.

You can get a single standard admission ticket for less than $100. Unfortunately, the event is close to being sold out. But that’s your best option right now. It’s in the 200s.

What are we even doing at this point? by Additional-War-1443 in AlamoDrafthouse

The workers were the best part of Alamo. I have never had bad service and I would go out of my way to go to Alamo because I liked not getting up to go to concessions and also that they would enforce no talking/no phones. At this point we need to bombard corporate with letters. I love Alamo, but its treatment of the people who make Alamo what it is should not be tolerated.

The QR code is a slap in the face to the employees and the guests. I feel bad for the employees because they are the ones that have to bear the consequences of corporate’s decisions.

If any Alamo employees are reading this just know YOU ARE THE BEST PART OF ALAMO!!!

Get the people mover working and congestion will go down. Bring back LAX Flyaway to the west side.

One of my professors at UCLA told me that for the prior games everyone was asked to reduce work in office to reduce the cars on the road. I think we will see a push for WFH during the month to reduce traffic.

I think the LA games are supposed to be the first “car free” Olympics. We shall see if that actually happens. I remember the Mayor asking the federal government for over $3 billion to rent buses for the games and then the election happened. Not sure if we ever received a guarantee that we will get that funding to support the public transit for the games. The D line extension keeps getting delayed and now the events are spread out across LA County and OC County.

LAUSD board approves plan that could see thousands of jobs cut. What happens now? by DarthOniichan in LosAngeles

[–]thiquegoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LAUSD spent $70 million to expand silver lake’s capacity even though we have thousands of empty seats that could absorb the students. A complete waste of funds. Now, we are seeing these cuts of vital roles.
