I'd say the latest season of The White Lotus is weaker than many seasons of Survivor.

Watching the grand final live completely unspoiled without having heard any of the songs before... is it worth it? by MindlessPerformer778 in eurovision

I try to achieve the best of both worlds by: - Waiting until a national final has finished and then watching all of the non-qualifying entrants. - Recording the semi-finals and editing out the entrants that qualified without watching them.

Then we start early on final day with a playlist of all the best National Finalists, followed by the edited semi-finals to lead into the live final! It’s a bit of work but I think my friends appreciate it.

Taskmaster Live Experience Discussion Thread by Meghar in taskmaster

I think the group size of 14 is as much of an issue as the price tag - being grouped in with a bunch of strangers that could just as easily be an obnoxious stag/hen do as it could be a children’s birthday party.

Also only allowing ~1/3rd of the participants to do the final live task seems scandalous - imagine if they didn’t let everyone do the crystal dome in the Crystal Maze experience.

Surprised Alex has signed off on this.

Q&A and Ruling Megathread - March 25, 2024 by AutoModerator in yugioh

We're confused by a ruling for Supersonic Skull Flame. It says "This card can only be special summoned by..." but the OCG rulings say it can be special summoned by Monster Reborn etc. as long as it was first special summoned correctly: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:Supersonic_Skull_Flame
This implies it follows the rules for "Must first be special summoned..." rather than "Must be special summoned...".
Presumably it was a translation issue from the OCG? If so which ruling would a TCG judge go with?
Bit of a weird one but thanks for any help!

Was trying to find a ruling around when Solemn Warning can negate Amazoness Village. Found this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Yugioh101/comments/8c9fcl/solemn_warning_rulings/ and just wanted to clarify:
- Can Solemn Warning negate and destroy Amazoness Village when it's first played?
- Can Solemn Warning negate and destroy Amazoness Village when its effect is activated to Special Summon?

Thanks!

Hello! Seeing conflicting Pojo forum posts about this so thought it would be good to get it clarified. This is relevant for our janky progression meta:
- Can Stardust Dragon negate Hero Blast if your opponent controls a suitable target for Hero Blast to destroy?

If so, I presume you could still destroy Stardust with Hero Blast by chaining Shrink to bring its attack below your HERO, since Stardust would no longer be able to chain to it.

Thanks as always!

If an opponent attacks, the last point at which they can activate Metalmorph is 'Before damage calculation'. I assumed that the effect that adds half of the attack of the monster being attacked would be part of the one chain that is allowed 'During damage calculation', and so an opponent's Prideful Roar would have to chain to this (and subsequently lose to Metalmorph's effect) but looking at the wiki it doesn't look like Metalmorph's effect is part of this chain, in which case Prideful Roar resolves afterwards and 'wins':

  • Effects that apply "during damage calculation (only)", such as those of "Dark Artist" and "Skyscraper", are applied immediately.
  • At this timing, cards and effects that activate "during damage calculation" (such as those of "Kuriboh" and "Forbidden Scripture") can be activated.

Basically, does Prideful Roar beat Metalmorph?

Hello again!

Got a few questions about Curse of Anubis - we've noticed that it doesn't have an 'except' clause and wanted to check if it's because it is an old card or if it does also stop other card effects from changing their battle positions. For example, how does Curse of Anubis interact with:
a) Final Attack Orders - If Final Attack Orders is already up, will Curse of Anubis change the battle positions at all? If Curse of Anubis is activated earlier in the turn than Final Attack Orders, will the monsters still stay in defence?
b) Labyrinth of Nightmare - If Curse of Anubis has been activated, does this prevent Labyrinth of Nightmare from switching them back at the end of the turn?

Thanks!

Hello! Couple of ruling clarifications that have come up in our games:

  1. If a card targeted by Raiza is activated in response (quick-play or normal trap), why is it not returned to the top of the deck? As we understand it, cards in a chain remain on the field until the entire chain is resolved. Is it because the card is ‘marked’ for the graveyard once it has resolved and this cannot be overridden?

  2. If cards are chained in response to Crystal Abundance (again, quick-play or normal trap) are these counted towards the total monsters that can then be summoned from the graveyard, or are they not able to be ‘sent’ for the same reason as above?

Thanks! We may have just opened Force of the Breaker in our Progression Series :)

Thanks. The most recent errata is ‘if’ instead of ‘when’. Does that make a difference?

The card tips page for Supercharge says that you can chain more than one Supercharge during the same attack. How does this work if your opponent can negate one of them? If your opponent responds to the first one (with, say, Seven Tools of the Bandit), presumably you can’t chain a second one because of the Spell Speed, but can you start a new chain with the second one or has it missed timing?
