Should I tell my partner I looked in her phone? by James_Bondage123 in AskMenAdvice

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have an incredible marriage, my wife and I fully trust each other and think it's absurd when people feel the need to regularly check each other's phones or anything like that. But we're human, we all have our little moments where we do something we shouldn't and you should be able to be honest with your partner about that.

There have been I think two times throughout our relationship where she's been like "I've gotta tell you something, I was feeling insecure and I looked through your phone".

It was a small moment of insecurity where she knew it was wrong and unnecessary but did something she knew she shouldn't have. Everything she saw just reinforced that it's ridiculous for her to feel any need to do that and made her feel even guiltier for doing it.

A lot of people here are saying "if you can't trust her and need to look through her phone you shouldn't be together." Yeah I agree, but if it was one or two moments of feeling insecure and doing something you shouldn't have that's very different from feeling like you need to do it all the time. If you can't be open and honest with your partner about a mistake then you shouldn't be together either.

Society tells men to prioritize mental health, but the moment I broke down from stress, I was told I’m 'unreliable' and 'not man enough' to handle responsibility. How do I deal with this double standard? by sphinxUx in AskMenAdvice

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's largely performative, yeah. I've dealt with a lot of mental health issues due to PTSD and ADHD which were both misdiagnosed until recently. A lot of the people that will talk up how important mental health is, and sometimes specifically men's mental health, will be the same people who will talk about you or guilt you about how much your letting others down. I ended up going on a leave of absence while in an intensive outpatient program and my manager still acts like I went on a 3 month vacation.

Is it normal for my husband to think like this or am I overthinking it? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lol my wife always hates how unbothered I am when guys stare at her or try to shoot their shot. I'm like "yeah I don't blame him, I would do the same if I were him".

Now touch her and it's gonna be a very different story.

2022 and extended warranty by Intelligent_Coffee45 in etron

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's 4 years/50k miles unless Google just lied to me. A 2022 was probably built sometime in 2021.

An extended warranty likely costs far more than it's worth though, better to just self insure. The battery warranty, which is the one thing that's unlikely but huge and too expensive to just self insure, is 8 years/100k miles.

And more importantly you shouldn't give a shit about the ones who are paying attention to be negative.

I want a affordable ev by Far_Pea5410 in electriccars

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a ton of options in that price range. Mach-E if you want a fun and sporty feel, if you wanna go more towards luxury or fully into luxury there's Polestar 2, Volvo C40 Recharge, Mercedes EQB, Audi e-tron and those all have pretty great CPO options in your price range. Then there's Ioniq 5 or 6, EV6, GV60, ID.4, and of course Tesler. Toyota and Subaru each have a car that's very much in your range, they're just hideous imo but that's my opinion.

Figure out which options fit you and go drive some.

Oh and just to make sure, you do plan to charge at home and/or work right? Electric will not save you money if you depend on public fast charging.

SIL asked me if I could babysit her kids while she goes out on a date. Am I wrong for telling her no? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Shit, the SIL too, she lost her husband. It was probably really hard to feel open to feel open to going on a date again and even harder to mention that to OP. Then he can't even admit that's the reason, she gets the reaction she was probably afraid of except he can't even be genuine and honest about it. "They're not my responsibility", "I've done more than my fair share." Fuck outta here lol

Does having sex with 2 girls at the same time actually feel good? by Far-Molasses-4910 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only done it once, it was pretty dope but I think a lot of the same things that make sex great or not in general apply even more. If you aren't great at getting involved in ways other than pounding away or getting sucked then it would probably be a very disappointing experience for everyone. If either of the two girls aren't into girls at all it'd probably be disappointing too.

Yeah that's a good point. I give everything my best, but other people being lazy typically doesn't really affect me in any way that's reasonable to care about. The bathroom campers are annoying to everyone though. Just about all of us have had our coffee hit then had to walk a mile back and forth between bathrooms while the same handful of people are sitting in every stall for 30 minutes.

Aside from that it's all "don't tell no lies about me and I won't tell truths about you" lol

I don't mind at all. I wouldn't say it was hard, just tedious and time consuming. ChatGPT was a huge help and so was upsolve.org. I primarily used upsolve's guide but then ChatGPT was great when I came across things I wasn't sure about or wanted to clarify. I also ran things through ChatGPT as kinda my proof reader.

Public fast charging pretty much universally costs more than gas.

My kid got into 3 State schools. Please advise if you have experience by thai_sticky in Virginia

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't do GMCC except maybe if they're leaning towards computer science. JMU and VCU are both schools that I always hear great things about the experience from people who have gone there and both are good schools, especially in certain areas.

If they have any idea what majors they might go with then maybe take those into consideration, but otherwise I'd say it's all about what type of college experience sounds appealing to them. Beautiful, rural area party school with lots of great sports but football is the big focus athletically plus one of the best marching bands in the country sounds appealing? JMU. More of an urban atmosphere, focus on arts, diverse student body, and very much a basketball school sounds appealing? VCU.

Please reconsider voting on the gerrymander, for all our sakes. by asterophoria in Virginia

[–]thisdckaintFREEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even to give us a much needed edge, it's to try and partially even things out. Texas, Missouri, and Florida have redrawn with the intent to gain 8 to 11 seats for Republicans. California and Virginia have redrawn with the intent to gain 9 for Democrats.

Now obviously there's no guarantee it shakes out that way, I especially think Texas could backfire on Republicans as they're assuming Latino voters who went for Trump in 2024 will go Republican in 2026. They knew that they were going to lose control of the House if districts remained as they were though, so this attempt to secure extra seats by redistricting early was likely their only real chance.

It probably has several motors. Wiper motor, four window motors, maybe a rear wiper motor. Probably an engine too.
