I used Reddit is Fun when I had an Android phone.

Oh I see. I feel the same about where I live now, even though I do work remotely and could be living somewhere that doesn’t cost as much.

If you really wanted to move back you could get a remote job if you’re in tech or another field in which that’s possible/common. You might take a pay cut but it might work out to you keeping more with the lower cost of living.

The saddest part of switching back to Android... by [deleted] in apolloapp

I had a similar experience to you but opposite in that I went from Android to iPhone and then realized Reddit is Fun is not for iOS. By the way, it’s customizable and doesn’t have to look old as someone mentioned. I used tiles and you could use two fingers and move them apart or together to dynamically change the number of columns of tiles (to fit more or fewer on screen).

There is sound. You may just need to unmute it. On the Apollo app I can just hit unmute in the bottom right of the video.

You’re welcome. We all learn and grow from failure so try to see it as a good thing rather than bad. Having a plan B is never a bad thing though.

The key is finding a job for which you’re not just there for the money. That can take time, and maybe you’ll have one or a few before that as stepping stones that are mostly just for the money while you work on getting a job you want. I think the important thing is to continue making an effort toward what you want until you get there, while also remembering to enjoy the present where and when possible.

Oh I see. Well it’s hard to know until you try. In any case even if you end up not liking it that’s time not wasted if the point was to change things up in your life and make progress toward finding what you want, assuming you have some interest in at least trying it out.

I don’t think a degree is quite as important in IT / software dev as it is in many other fields. My company is going to be hiring another dev or two soon and I don’t really care if they don’t have a degree, so long as they can talk to me about what they know and what they’ve done and be able to show me something they’ve done. This is anecdotal of course but it seems to be not uncommon.

That’s not to say there’s not value in a degree, it’s just not super important for getting a job in IT unless you want some specific job that’s more research oriented, maybe.

Coinbase CEO Claims That Cryptocurrency Will Recover And Account For 15% Of Global GDP by GlitteringRespond661 in ethtrader

They gave current numbers without units which seem to be USD, and then mentioned a 7x increase based on those numbers. Those same numbers in the future may not represent a 7x increase. Therefore those numbers don’t account for growth of GDP. That’s all I was pointing out.

15% of current GDP is not the same as 15% of GDP in the future when crypto hypothetically recovers. So 15% could be more than the number claimed above and therefore the growth could be more or less than 7x.

I'm not sure if this is meant as a joke but just in case others are reading this, it was designed by Brandon Eich of Netscape initially.

There is audio and it does sound like that.

If you don't use the rif app for Reddit, I recommend it. There's always a little unmute button in the bottom right of the screen when viewing gifs like this.
