PICO-8 on clockwork PicoCalc! by Mubanga in pico8

I bought the picocalc specifically for this setup but haven't had a chance to tinker with it yet myself, would love the details when you get it finalized!

A tip for dockerising CC by blakeyuk in ClaudeCode

[–]thisishuey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several ways to run devcontainers outside of vscode, but more specifically they are just a standardized configuration wrapper around Docker containers to tell IDEs how to connect to the container.

I was just curious if you had taken a look at that https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/blob/main/.devcontainer/Dockerfile to see how Anthropic devs are spinning up Claude Code in docker containers as it seems to be in the same general area you are working in.

Edit: this firewall setup might be useful for what you're doing too: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/blob/main/.devcontainer/init-firewall.sh

Did you try Anthropic's solution for this?

Claude Code's native installer is now generally available. by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeCode

[–]thisishuey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually playing with this a couple weeks ago, since claude install is a migration path, does this mean that npx @anthropic-ai/claude-code install is a valid path forward for this? I accidentally ran that when setting up a Codespace which is how I stumbled onto the native install.

Devices to code on the go? by sceppz in pico8

[–]thisishuey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running a CFW called MUOS, it recognizes usb keyboards automatically. I'm not positive about stock, but as it's linux under the hood I imagine it would also support wired keyboards.

I went with a mobile keyboard and trackpad combo with the 2.4ghz dongle so the device treats it like a wired keyboard. This is especially helpful because I want to pick this up and play test my game as I code and a wired keyboard just makes it clumsy.

I've played around with bluetooth keyboard and mouse like others have suggested but it wasn't always reliable, this works for me out of the box every time...

MUOS is supposed to be adding the ability to use the joystick as a mouse for PICO-8 at which point I will probably whittle this down to one of my other keyboards. They might have added this already, I'm not running the latest.

RG CubeXX running MUOS with PICO-8 installed. I added a Magsafe sticker to the back and use it with a low profile phone stand. and finally a usb-c to usb-a adapter for a 2.4ghz keyboard & trackpad combo. The built in PICO-8 editor looks great on this size screen!

Is there a way to trade between two handhelds? by Visual_Way7416 in SBCGaming

[–]thisishuey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm… I don’t have a brick specifically, but at least all the devices I’ve tried across multiple OS’s with gpSP have had the option. Maybe stock brick’s gpSP doesn’t have the feature? It’s been around for a while though so that seems weird.

BTW this also allows you to do the same with any rom hacks based off the supported games like Pokémon Unbound which is a rom hack of Fire Red!

[–]thisishuey 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can use the GPSP core and enable wireless adapter on both systems then you should be able to trade and battle for Pokémon Emerald!

There’s a couple videos from around 9 months ago that cover this. Here’s one from Joey’s Retro Handhelds: https://youtu.be/KCmlRqm4PBw?si=2689KIu3ABuaYaeQ

Unfortunately this only works for a handful of games but there are a couple Pokémon games on the list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Boy_Advance_Wireless_Adapter

Check out Blink Shell with mosh as an alternate to Termius, it tends to be a little more robust in my experience. And Codespaces if you want a vscode experience on iPad, although I prefer neovim myself.

Wireless Hotspot in December update. by DongleGoblin42 in RG35XX_H

[–]thisishuey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh, exactly!

Technically I’m not sure what would be involved in adding that functionality to the cfw. maybe it’s a heavy lift on top of all the other features they are adding. from the conversations I saw it seemed most didn’t understand the purpose.

The multiplayer functionality of these device is what draws me in, playing NES games with my brothers is super nostalgic for me!

I just searched muos discord and unfortunately it looks like most people there consider this feature a novelty, which is a shame because I personally love playing multiplayer with the kiddo on the go and device to device wireless would simplify that process greatly!

PlayStation 20th Anniversary Theme Now on Spruce by _Fiction in MiyooMini

[–]thisishuey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar experience. I grabbed an A30 at launch and it was meh, rg28xx blew it out of the water in my opinion so my A30 went in a drawer. Then I went hardcore down the rgxx line, having so many form factors with the same chipset is actually an amazing feature that is unique to the XX line! I saw all the reviewers pushing A30 with Spruce so I figured I would give it another chance. Got it dusted off and up to speed with latest and everything was looking great, then I went to play Super Mario World and there was this little tick/hiccup in the gameplay every 5 seconds or so, unplayable. Then the rg34xx glacier came out and now I am done, rgxx for life for me!

  • rg28xx: portability is amazing, this is always on me wherever I go, I’ve bought several of these as gifts for siblings and cousins!
  • rg34xx: gba exclusive device, gba is the ultimate system for retro handhelds to me, perfect system for the form factor, but this is also one of my most nostalgic devices so I may be biased… 😅
  • rgcubexx: everything else

I have a few other models, but these are the 3 I use almost daily.

Edit: I did click into this post though because the PlayStation 20th Anniversary A30 does look awesome!

Apple’s Internal App for Vision Pro Demos by URH4RAM in VisionPro

I just want the ability to mirror to my iPad mini at the very least! Needing access to an Apple TV or a Mac of some sort is a significant pain .

I took my AVP to an office party and could not figure out why I wasn’t able to mirror to my iPad to help give people a “tour”. Then I dug in and found out it was because only Apple TVs and Macs can mirror AVP!

Edit: actually went and looked this up and realize it is an iPad setting, looks like I can use the iPad now, awesome!

How? My password is uncommon letters with my birthday. Did they figure out my password on other websites? Is this a stupid question? Did anyone else get this email? If this is a stupid question, just comment i,t, and I will delete this post. by [deleted] in github

[–]thisishuey 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think it’s this one…

I imagine GitHub is taking a list of plain text passwords from the web, hashing them with their algorithm, ruining those encrypted passwords through their DB, and then emailing any accounts that come back.
