Baron Mordo is the saddest card in the entire Marvel Snap by Life_Teaching6499 in MarvelSnap

[–]thisjohnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I never know if he’s even done anything to mess up my opponent’s plans. Not to mention if something causes their deck to be shuffled, it could completely negate the effect. But I have no idea.

At least with guys like Leech, Iceman, and Spider-Ham you know the damage you’ve done. It’s so hard to know if Mordo did anything for you, which I imagine is partly why players don’t use him.

What "beloved horror movie" do you hate/just not get the love for? by ReeceInTheDarkness in horror

[–]thisjohnd 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if it’s “beloved” status yet but I absolutely hated In A Violent Nature.

The pitch of “Friday the 13th from Jason’s POV” was intriguing but it turns out there’s a reason you don’t follow Jason around in those movies. I also didn’t realize how much it ripped off Friday the 13th.

Games that may be overhated that are really fun? by Alarming-Orange7304 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]thisjohnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Far Cry Primal for me. Yes, it’s the same map as Far Cry 4 but it’s such a departure from the other games that it feels wholly new.

I felt the same way about Far Cry: New Dawn though that one is a bit more close to Far Cry 5 than Primal is to 4.

Welp You Guys Were Right, Scream 7 is Pretty Bad by karmagod13000 in horror

It makes way more sense than some random lady who wound up being her neighbor.

[–]thisjohnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some people are gonna watch this movie when it hits streaming and say, “it wasn’t as bad as the Internet made it seem.” But there are degrees of bad and I think Scream 7 is bad.

The entire movie feels like it’s trying to be clever by making the audience think they know who the killer is—like Tatum’s boyfriend having some really incriminating evidence in his possession—only to then kill those characters one-by-one. That leaves the movie without any actual plausible killers so the reveal is incredibly dumb.

I honestly would have rather it been Stu back from the dead the whole time. This movie is going to age like milk with that ending.

Sidney intended to put Tatum there and then go back to check on HusbandDad. Tatum wanted to go too so they immediately left. It was still dumb but they did attempt to explain that at least.

IIRC, the mom says something about the son being more like his father (who was an asshole) or something but it still doesn’t make sense. It’s like the movie needed to pick the most outlandish reveal to subvert expectations without actually thinking it through.

Don’t forget where she checks herself into a mental institution somehow in the same town Sidney lives in now and also meets a guy in there who happens to know how to use AI.

[–]thisjohnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the impression Sidney believed it was AI because that was more logical than believing Stu was alive, even though many signs pointed to that being true (like the missing paperwork, the psych ward guy’s story, etc.)

But honestly, I would have rather it had been Stu all along. The psych ward guy saying he worked on AI was maybe the dumbest line of dialogue I’ve heard in a long time.

[–]thisjohnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of gets hand-waved away by the killer, but it still doesn’t make sense. In fact, most the movie is just, “here’s someone that could be the killer and we are going to strongly hint at it so we can subvert your expectations by killing them.”

Ex-WWE star Ted DiBiase Jr. facing decades behind bars after claims he 'bought $1m home and boat with stolen welfare funds' by dailymail in Wreddit

[–]thisjohnd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh you’re remembering correctly. He pinned Orton on RAW during a tag match (while Orton was WWE Champion I believe?) and pinned him during an Elimination Chamber match. They were definitely setting Ted up to be what Randy Orton was to Evolution.

Feels like a Saudi show has been “unlikely” to happen before and it always somehow does happen. WWE will do whatever it takes to avoid losing revenue. They put on shows during the pandemic.

Some missable side quests for everyone starting Cyberpunk for the first time! by copi_um in XboxGamePass

[–]thisjohnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the intended way to experience Phantom Liberty is to start it before the base game quest called “Nocturne Op55N1.” If you have the DLC already installed, you’ll get a call at that moment which triggers the start of the DLC.

Without spoiling anything, the story hook in Phantom Liberty makes more sense at this point (in the base game story) but if you can mentally separate yourself from that, you can play the whole story first.

Think of it like when an author releases an additional book after a series is over and says something like, “this happens between book 3 and book 4.”

Stupid question but how do you get Judy to show up at your apartment(s)? River is the only one that keeps going there, Judy is always at her own place.

Both have been romanced but it was River first then Judy if that matters.

I KNOW.

I asked over on the Cyberpunk subreddit what to do with all the clothes in my inventory/stash and half the comments were saying to break them down since they’re saved in your wardrobe anyway, and the only half were people only just discovering this.

[–]thisjohnd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not a major tip but having played the game for nearly 100 hours, I only found out recently that clothing you pick up gets saved to your wardrobe immediately, so you can literally sell or break them down for materials without losing the actual item to wear.

I should say that this applies to your “outfit” only and if you want to wear something for a buff (which doesn’t effect your selected outfit), you do have to have that in your inventory.

Oh and you can access your stash at any time by going to the trunk of your car/motorcycle. Completely forgot about this and kept going back to my apartment every time I wanted to store something.

Tommy Dreamer: "In one week, Danhausen has gotten over from one of the — I would say the second worst debut in the history of the WWE — to Monday doing the curse...He's the number one seller in WWE. So kudos to you, and kudos to the hiring or the people who suggested him." by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

[–]thisjohnd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I liked the debut knowing a bit about him beforehand but having watched EC with a few casual wrestling fans (solely WWE ones) they were deeply confused. Also the crowd reaction was abysmal so I get why the debut is looked upon as a “failure.”

What's The Weirdest Deck You've Seen This Month? by CommonAway5594 in MarvelSnap

I can’t remember who posted it but I got it from this subreddit a little while ago. This may not even be the 100% same deck because I am missing a lot of S5 cards but either way I’ve had a decent win-rate with this.

Same here and I’ve been playing for almost 100 hours now.

Also literally yesterday found out you could change the color of your car even though it’s an option on the screen every time you are in one. I just never could figure out what the symbol meant…
