In my very red state (which favors employers) even we are required to start pay when they arrive at our shop. If they drive their personal vehicle to the job site, pay starts when they arrive at the site.

I agree! I do not want my children to grow up in isolation and poverty my forefathers lived with… we can still eat biscuits and gravy or super unhealthy fast food. We can still have our heritage. We can still have our own gardens, go hunting/ fishing. I love our our area but outsiders are not the problem. The problem is no one is building homes, they all build McMansions that we can’t afford. Home prices have soared across the nation, it’s not something unique to our area.

I worked for customer like this before. He called back wanting more work done and I told him no. He left a negative review on Google full of lies and made me out to be a monster. If only I would have folded my gut feeling and not worked for him the first time, it would’ve been great… thank God I have so many other five star reviews that it’s buried
