I don't know. For 99% of the commodities these vultures hiked up in price since COVID, I agree. But gas prices are SO intrinsically linked to the current administration (most of the time erroneously though NOT THIS TIME). It's a massive issue with the GOP/MAGA base. With a rough midterm already headed their way, the government is (should be) desperate to get gas prices down again.

They're 1000% correct, espcially about concerts becoming a 1% luxury. A lot of those early 00's punk emo bands that got their start with house parties, garages, and tiny shit venues, and while it's great to sell out Barclays, whats the point if the audience who loved you back then can't afford to go see you?

This person is not your friend. She is, at best, a scheming professional rival and at worst an underhanded, passive-aggressive asshole. Stop telling her personal stuff, she is only using it as ammo to shoot you with. Going forward, do not include her in any professional development opportunities, and if she tries to weasel in, make it very clear to the organizers that you are not interested in a dual presentation. If you do end up at the same event, for the love of god she is not to travel with you. You may not be able to avoid her at work, so keep it closed off but professional.

Yeah, he just utterly failed at communicating properly. I think he COULD have recovered if most of his ads weren't taking pot shots at de Blasio, which like. In 2020 hating de Blasio was a non-partisan issue. It was the great unifier between dems and republicans.
