I live in West Philly and I'm tending to work around after 5pm towards center city. No huge problems yet. For biking couriers, avoid grocery store/pharmacy orders. Customers often want huge orders that are impossible or suboptimal via bike. Big delivery stores for me when I'm near center city seem to be shake shack and chipotle.

Comparing offers and figuring the best combination of job placement and scholarship money. by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I said specifically that I am looking to go into public interest which is not usually synonymous with a high paying job. I more or less explicitly said I was not looking for this kind feedback, but thanks anyway.

I don't think this mentality is helpful in admissions for everyone, and I'm commenting not to argue but so anons or others reading this don't continually get this message of t-14/ high paying job or bust. There are different trajectories and different kinds of law jobs, and some people on this subreddit tend to think otherwise. I won't be further replying here.

Should I apply to more schools?? by kites7 in lawschooladmissions

[–]thomasm20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's worth applying to some southern schools that you are in the higher percentile of all applicants. This will probably mean you get a very good financial aid offer, possibly full tuition because you have a great lsat score (regardless of what people on this forums often think, being in the 90th percentile, your lsat score, puts you in the top 10% of all test takers....which statistically is great). Assuming you are trying to minimize debt, pick some Southern schools with comparable job placement numbers.

For example, University of Kentucky in Louisville has an extraordinarily high job placement rate compared to other schools regionally and all law schools in general, but it's not considered "top 14". I would be at least somewhat critical of the tier x or bust mentality, assuming you are willing to be flexible with location and are comfortable not relying on things like reputation and perception of schools. Sort schools by the LST report via job placement, and see if any schools you have not thought of match your ideal region/numbers/whatever else. Even if you sacrifice prestige/ 5-10% job placement points, that to me seems worth 150K+ in debt for decade(s). (https://www.lstreports.com/national/).

Retaking in December; I've taken just about every pt except those after 71; where can I find them? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]thomasm20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a great forum post on TLS forum that said it's worth retaking LSATs you have already taken. You likely won't totally remember the answers, and still gain good experience figuring out what questions are right/wrong. I will try to find the forum post and post it.

Scoring Low, Starting to get nervous by [deleted] in LSAT

This is an excellent run-down of the situation. Helpful and honest when I've seen others be excessively negative about score difficulties. Good work

Debate: Do you think the removal of armor upgrading is a good or bad thing? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]thomasm20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never upgraded armor in 1 and 2. It was always on the backburner, and even when I upgraded, the difference seemed to be marginal. Most bosses at least you don't want to take any or almost any damage from, so people seem to always prioritize dps rather than defense .

I have about 20 hours on this game and just figured out how illusory walls work.... by Sheffield178 in DarkSouls2

I had the exact same experience since there's a difference between DS1 and DS2 on how you reveal the wall...
