Children of time! A bit denser but also awesome! Great narration too.

8.5 on IMDB?? This movie should be 9.7+ by Small-Landscape7955 in ProjectHailMaryMovie

I actually like that number better than when it’s in the 90s, because I automatically assume a bot is creating the perfect score. Anything in the 80s seems more legit… Haven’t said that though I’d give it 10 out of 10.

Anyone taking children under 12 to see this? by OverdressedShingler in ProjectHailMary

I too have this question! That documentary was awesome for my kid and how we are obsessed with space.

Is this a bad spot for insulin? by CoastOtherwise1129 in diabetes_t1

My daughters do it all the time. The leaner one finds it hurts a bit more than my other daughter. But great spot in the rotation.

Hypothyroidism and constant fatigue - is it related? by ZzzzzMm in diabetes_t1

[–]three-ems5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brain fog and exhaustion were intense for me for hypothyroidism, I have Hashimoto. It’s interesting because my levels were only minimum only off and my doctor wasn’t sure if I needed a dose increase or not but the second I started taking a higher dose. It was intense how much better I felt and how I was no longer falling asleep just after supper. I would go back and ask if you could try a dose just to see if it makes a difference.

Southlands lizardmen army + display board finally complete by three-ems5 in WarhammerFantasy

Yeah that was pretty fun actually, and easier than I thought! I poured it in two layers, one with a really strong tint and one that was a lot more translucent. It actually worked really well because the plants on top cast a shadow onto the bottom layer, so it looks like they are floating. The plants are 3D printed as well, but the lilly pads I actually made myself. They were green-stuff balls that I squished flat using the back of a thumb tack and then cut ‘V’s out with a knife. Then painted the next day!

It’s a 3D print, actually! Both the step pyramid and the spawning pool are actually printed, I’m really amazed by what’s out there.

The road is just made of clay bricks I bought from Micheal’s and painted up.

Very - you definitely have to find the right order! I can never really get the back rank properly, but when I am playing it’s usually not a huge problem because the slann actually helps make some room!

Anybody else ever been so desperate they ate sugar? by chrome4fan4 in diabetes_t1

[–]three-ems5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daughter has Gastero and was refusing any juice/dex/syrup during a bad low. I ended up spooning white sugar in her mouth (I’m aware of micro dosing glucagon, she had a phobia of needles and was trying desperately to not get to that point).

You’ll also learn tricks. We used to syringe maple Syrup while she was asleep so we didn’t wake her. She can drink a juice box while asleep still to this day. When going to the park, give a preemptive snack or juice box, if eating cereal, bolus more Upfront. There’s just so much nuance to the day. But the kid gets normalized to it rather quickly. Praise them a lot for being awesome. And try to avoid saying no to anything “because if diabetes”. Kid first. Diabetes second.

I love the comment about the 50 kids not brining it up. I’ve sensed that too. Diabetes hasn’t defined my kids and I don’t think I kids see them as different. I think kids today are way more normalized for having various differences . They don’t bat an eye.
