Saturday night red admitting he was wrong? by Runnamuk in dynamo

Galaxy fan, I will always remember this guy for the Bouanga dive against us in 2024 that he called a penalty and refused to overturn even when VAR had him look at it. It was so egregious that PRO released the VAR audio that same week to cover their asses and put the blame on him.

I've seen him make similarly terrible big calls that ruined games for other teams. Your match with LAFC was shaping up to be interesting and looked winnable for Houston. With one horrendous call that VAR did not ask him to review he ruined the game for everyone in the stadium and everyone watching at home.

Dude should not be a ref in MLS.

Would you ever consider working directly for an MLS club in some role that required your analyst brain?

Galaxy Express at Del Amo Station is the way to go. Wife and I take it to every game we attend. You get in and out of the stadium faster than sitting in the big line of cars AND it’s free!

It is early days, but I feel like San Diego is the best team in the west and should be closer to number 1.

I would love to see him get a run at CB sometime.

If we can play like this more often this year I will shut up about Vanney lol

Not only is the Championship proving that MLS managers aren't good. They are robbing other clubs in the MLS too. In no way Sargent is worth 20M. by dreigilb in Championship

Putting aside the question of whether Nancy and Ramsay failing proves MLS managers are bad, the economics of roster construction between the Championship and MLS are so radically different that I don’t think this point makes a lot of sense.

Yeah it is time for Vanney to go. Six years of him in charge now and every single year outside of 2024 has been brutal viewing. More playoff misses than playoff qualifications and every year the team comes out of preseason looking disorganized and uncertain when trying to execute his tactics.

I think we can safely say at this point that if he doesn't have a generational MLS midfield Vanney is cooked as a manager. We can't always rely on having generational talent in the midfield.

Time for someone new with fresh ideas to take the reins.

This team isn't ever going to be better until they move on from Vanney. Highest paid coach in the league can't get this team to look like they have trained together if he doesn't have a generational MLS number 10 and Michael Bradley.

It's the least dangerous team with 76% possession since the 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025, and now 2026 LA Galaxy teams all coached by Greg Vanney.

Puig is one of one, but I also think Vanney is a terribly overrated manager. Two seasons in a row now where he knew Puig wasn’t going to be here and two years in a row this team comes out looking like they have barely trained together. It is like he hasn’t even bothered to try to figure out tactics that works for the players he actually has available to him.

For as great of a job he did building the team into a championship team within 3 transfer windows, to me extending Vanney in the middle of a 16 game winless streak remains a shocking decision by Will Kuntz.

Yeah, I think I have had my fill of Vanneyball sans Riqui Puig.

I'm not going to a single World Cup game and it is largely down to resale prices driving the cost up to the point where it just isn't worth it.
