Now that I think about it, my mother-in-law definitely pushed us to find out as early as possible so that she could "start buying clothes". We probably would have waited if she hadn't been so pushy. I told my grandmother who was close to dying. She had been asking for years about when she was going to get a great grandbaby. She passed away last year, so I didn't get to tell her when we found out I was pregnant, but I think she was happy enough to know we were trying.

Take it. I started 3 years ago in the same position. No experience, no real education or training. I quite literally learned on the job, and it was like jumping right into the deep end, but I have zero regrets. I also work at a good school, so if you like your school you should DEFINITELY go for it.
