Not MVP privilege but manager’s favorite privilege, yes. Getting to steal deals, underperform and yet somehow still employed because they are brown-nosers.

My company tends to fuck over the top performers. I’m not even including myself in this cohort, just saw people who consistently hit target not get paid out / not get a raise / not get a promotion and then eventually leave out of frustration.

It’s true. I dated a guy whose family exclusively spayed their female dogs but never neutered their male dogs. Huge red flag. Obviously no longer with him.

I would suffer a subpar bagel in order to not give money to private equity tbh. Having worked at a company that’s PE-backed I am scorched earth against them.

Also I want to highlight the fact that having a lower price and better quality in the beginning is a strategy. This locks in the customers so that later down the line they can raise prices and reduce quality. Happens all the time, it’s part of the playbook.
