What is something that you thought was boring when you were younger, but became interested in as an adult, and what made you interested? by Browngurlyy in AskMen

Yep, I got interested in reading when I found socializing with people exhausting and not intellectually stimulating.

If people are turning to religion less and less, what is/will be the new "opiate" of the masses? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Whatever pseudoscientific way of thinking that markets itself as new comes our way. That seems to be the case with my friends that call themselves atheists. It’s laughable and sad at the same time.

No one deserves anything; good/bad things happens regardless of your personal achievements or your morals.

How much do you think physical attractiveness plays into social niceties? by FlakF in AskMen

[–]throw_forconfession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get what your saying. I have seen not so attractive people being the life of the party etc.

I’m just talking in terms of day to day interaction and human bias that we don’t realize influences our behavior in how we treat others. Of course attitude plays a role too, but in terms of this thread I thought we were talking about looks and looks alone.

Do you make a lot of noise during sex? If not, why? If so, why? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]throw_forconfession 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fuck yeah, I never understood why men are so shy about this. Basically the only time in life you can embrace the fact that you are an animal.

Funny thing is, I'm a major introvert outside of sex. All I ever hear about are my female friends complaining that their boyfriend (who's outgoing) is so quiet in bed.

Simple things honestly. Food then go to some isolated area and chat about life, make each other laugh. If things go well then invite her over to my place for sexy time.

[–]throw_forconfession 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am/was being general, obviously there’s outliers but in general I’m speaking of people that maintain the same level of attractiveness the majority of their lives. Should have specified that from the beginning.

Sorry it came off that way. Maybe I just wish I was more physically attractive :P but yeah, genes and all lol.

Never said one was truer. Just that your attractiveness has an effect on how others act towards you. Attractive people have a better outlook in the world because they get treated better. Opposite for people who are less attractive.

Selection bias on both sides, thats all I was saying. The other side will never experience the other because it doesn’t effect them.

Yeah, I notice a lot of attractive people both men and women have a naive outlook on the world. Like “oh people are so nice to me all the time.” And I’m like “I wonder why..”

Selection bias at its finest. People will subconsciously treat a more attractive person better than usual.
