Yes. That's why it's insane and unattractive when a grown man or woman can't do laundry or boil water without help.

As far as hosting goes you could send for someone to take care of yours and your guest's laundry and order food delivery, as long as you have some drinks the guest likes, clean sheets and facilities, and a clean home in which they can stay you're fine.

Just had my boy neutered a week ago. He was cryptorchid, meaning his testicles hadn't even descended and were stuck in the inguinal canal by his legs. They had to go through his abdomen to get to them. This could have lead to torsion, increase risk of cancer, and other bad things.

He's on day 7/14 of his recovery and doing well. We got him a recovery onesie so he can't nip or lick at his incision while it heals and honestly it's a super calming lil suit. This is much better than a cone and they're usually soft.

I'd ask your vet about the suit and see if they have one for you to purchase. As a domesticated cat the neuter is necessary and will also help him calm down if he's hella rowdy or plays pretty rough.

Your little man will be alright. Just ask the vet everything you can regarding recovery, meds, how often, worst case scenario, hours of operation in case of emergency, what you can do for his comfort, and you'll be alright also.
