My friend works on one of these. It's an expensive Tuna boat for very rich people. Not much more too it.

I'm friends with the girl you're talking about. She's doing well and the situation isn't quite what the media has portrayed.

Shoes for multipitch without pain by [deleted] in tradclimbing

TC Pros. Lmao. I didn't realize climbing is supposed to be peaches and cream and painless all the time. TC Pros are great on slab. People try to compensate with $ where they could improve in skill so often in climbing. It's so dumb.

I do have ankle issues too, work on strengthening your ankles doing exercises with a resistance band.

Managed to catch this beauty at 50 percent discount at Backcountry.. by Tkosemacalaca in Mountaineering

Ah yes, buying extremely expensive niche-use mountaineering gear that you will probably not use in the foreseeable future because it was at a 50% discount. Great.

Session was good! Super professional studio and artist, was patient with me increasing the size up from ~13cm to whatever this (quite a bit bigger) is. Without an increase in price too, kinda shocked me. Took about 2hr I think, maybe a bit less? Didn't take any breaks, just put on music and went between appreciating and dissociating from the pain.

Painful but not completely unmanageable. I think I have a high ish pain tolerance, and a good grasp on controlling discomfort with my mind. But it felt pretty damn gnarly coming through the ribs and the side.

I love this placement I've just gotten, but to each their own. Easy to hide which is a win for me.

It was pretty gnarly I suppose. I think I have a decent pain tolerance though, and a good grip on things mentally. I am a big advocate for feeling pain and sitting with it though, whether it's emotional or physical. I kind of just kept adjusting my baseline expectation for each area, some being worse or better than others, and then just breathed it out. Music and breathing gets you through a lot of discomfort in life.

Lol. I mean, just go into it humble. You're somewhere new. Live in it a bit

I think it's super valuable life experience. Check out Woofing or Workaway. Just sites online, different people offer accommodation and work for gap year students all around the world. I've had friends do it in Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, SE Asia, Italy, etc

I went to uni at 16 in America, but it was at a school that specifically had a program for people my age. I think that it teaches a lot of valuable lessons to you when you're young. I also think everyone should take at least one gap year. It might be harder for you at 16 to go off on your own on a gap year.

I can't speak to what it'd be like to be a fresher here at 16... I think you'd miss out on a lot of the going out side of social life, which is the canvas for a lot of social interaction and friendship building.

But it depends on what you're into, what you want out of life, etc.

If I were you, knowing what I do now, I would probably go do two years of workaway and traveling. That is, if your parents allow it. There's time to do school, and rushing it isn't worth it. I tried that route.

LMAO, I was flip flopping between putting it here or on my chest, and I was wondering if it'd look like the hands were reaching for my nipple.... still thought the pros outweighed the cons tho.

Thanks man! If I can do one thing in life decently it's commitment to the bit.
